Is it in our genes?
Hearing about the disorder of kleptomania, I first encountered this idea of sin as an uncontrollable desire to do wrong because it is "in our genes".
Now we have alcoholic genes and gay genes and all sorts of scientific explanations for why we are irrevocably the way we are and it is not our fault.
So, I will try to prove that sin is not a function or result of imperfection because the perfect sinned.
I will also show that knowledge of evil does not necessarily cause evil.
However, knowledge of evil in the hands of the young, immature or naive is like giving a baby a bottle of alcohol and a car. It will do damage.
The Damage Done By Sin.
Nevertheless, is it all genetic? Can fixing our genes fix our desire to sin?
In the biological construction there are three distinct regions. Flesh and blood (body) united with the Spirit (breath of God) to create a living soul (conscious mind).
Sin has scarred all aspects of our nature.
- Physical Changes (Body). The physical effects of sin are in our genes.
We will die. It also seems to be both genetic and contagious.
Our children are "born in sin".
Corrupt From Birth.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
(Psalm 51: 5)
This can be either a genetic mutation that is inherited or an environmental infection.
If it is environmental, it could also be either an infection from the womb, a virulent virus, or a lethal injection or the reaction of the body to an inoculation.
- Environment.
The whole planet devolved along with the human race, apparently catching our disease.
The Pains Of Rebirth.
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
(Romans 8: 22)
The Earth Is Cursed.
... Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.
It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.
By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.
(Genesis 3: 17-19)
So this is not genetic inheritance but a virulent disease.
- Genes.
The symptoms of the curse appear to be genetic because the plants now produce something different - thorns.
Thorns are aborted branches and pink flamingoes get their color from their diet, not their genes.
So it is possible that what looks like a genetic mutation could be an environmental effect.
Genes are suppressed because of the lack of a critical nutrient or the presence of substances that alter their expression.
- Mutation. Our genes changed and caused a lethal effect on our bodies and decision-making ability.
- Malnutrition. We are malfunctioning because we lack something essential. The visible presence of God and the fruit from the tree of life were removed.
However, sin came before these were taken so their absence is the result of sin, not the cause. Nevertheless, their absence could exacerbate our weakness.
- Toxic Environment. Sin creates a physically and morally lethal atmosphere. The original cause continues to create an environment that is not conducive to healing.
The presence of inherited defects indicates that our genes are damaged.
However this does not indicate that the damage which makes us submit to sin is because we inherited a defective "sin" gene. Neither can we assume that such damage makes it impossible for us to overcome the desire to sin.
Nevertheless, we clearly have a toxic and malfunctioning planet and damaged genes.
- Mental Changes (Mind). We are easily tempted and overcome by sin.
The power of sin is so strong that even when we desire to do good, it is trumped by evil.
When evil had totally engulfed all of mankind it was time to send the flood.
An Evil Mind.
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
(Genesis 6: 5)
- Spiritual Changes (Conscience). In the throes of death, we became blind and fragile. We could no longer see God and He had to shield Himself from us.
Sin separated us from God. This is its greatest damage.
We can at least conclude that sin is virulent. It is passed from one generation to another and across species to the plants and animals.
While genes are inherited, viruses can both infect us and cross species and lethal radiation can have the same global effect, affecting all species and mutating the genes.
No wonder the planet is under quarantine, confined under the rules of a leprous people living on a leper planet.
The Human Design: Made In The Image Of God.
Was this a flawed design that made us naive and defenseless, subject to the lies of a malicious predator?
Be As God.
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
(Genesis 3: 5)
- Knowing Good And Evil. Critics point to this as the flaw in the design, but this makes us in God's image.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
(Genesis 3: 22)
God confirms that this design makes us like Him. So it must be good. Satan told a half truth.
We can never become God but like God we were designed to know the difference between good and evil.
- Knowing Good. We have the ability to recognize good. No sane person has a problem with this.
However, not doing good is also sin.
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
(James 4: 17)
- Knowing Evil. Knowing evil simply means having the capacity to recognize what is not perfect.
- Physical Pain (Nerves).
The nervous system helps us to identify danger to the body through the sensation of pain. Sharp pricks or extreme temperatures bring immediate physical withdrawal responses.
» Sensory-Motor Nervous System.
Lepers lose fingers and toes not because the disease eats away the flesh but because it destroys their nerves.
When patients lose their sense of pain and movement, they injure the body allowing infection to set in.
Sin is like leprosy. We not only lost the ability to recognize evil, we lost the ability to turn away from it.
- Emotional Pain (Law Of Love).
As we interact with others we also recognize that emotional harm also brings these unwanted feelings from which we instinctively withdraw.
This knowledge of physical and emotional pain in us helps us to understand and empathize with others who are undergoing similar experiences.
God helps us to swiftly develop this recognition of good and evil with the internal copy of the Ten Commandments. They help us to recognize harm done to others or good we would not instinctively know.
Having a range of feelings is like having a range of tastes or seeing a range of colors.
Having the range makes life so much more better. Sin is like darkness and blindness. Recognizing the colors red and blue is like recognizing "not good" (evil) and good.
Recognizing the negative is also key to survival. Otherwise we would have to be potted plastic plants or cherished items sitting in a closet under lock and key.
We were not made to do evil. This is not a flawed design.
Therefore "knowing evil" is good.
- Free Will.
The critics ask why did God made us to choose evil if that is not a desired outcome?
If so He is responsible for evil.
Christian apologists say that we had free will.
So critics respond that it was irresponsible of God to make us with the ability to choose sin only to kill us for exercising that choice which He never wanted.
- The Ability To Make Informed Choices.
Therefore, we technically do not have "free will", otherwise God could not punish us for not choosing what He wants, especially if it is an uncontrollable desire that he planted in us.
What we do have is a more robust design in the ability to recognize the difference between good and evil. We have wisdom, not just knowledge.
Knowledge is just a list of facts. A design based on just knowing good is a robotic design based on knowledge or facts.
Designing wisdom means having the ability to compare extremes and all the points in between.
Then we can know why something is good or bad and recognize a better choice.
It was also more efficient for God to design us with a system to recognize the ten major categories of evil than to program us with a list of all the infinite possibilities for good.
In a way this is the design that gives the most freedom to do good.
So knowledge of evil is not knowing all methods of evil. It means recognizing "not good".
- Liberty.
This is why the system is called liberty. The possibilities for good are limitless. The ability to recognize pitfalls and danger is priceless.
Law Of Liberty.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
(James 2: 10-12)
- In The Image Of God.
We had the best design. We were made to look and act like our adoring Father.
The Spitting Image Of Daddy!
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
(Genesis 1: 27)
Humans were made in the image of God. Satan stood next to God as a covering cherub named Lucifer, the light bearer.
Satan and the human race had good nature and good nurture.
How could we both sin with such a genetic pedigree and positive parenting and flawless environment?
What is unique about this image of God that separates us from the lower animals?
People point to other attributes that characterize the image of God, but all these higher order functions are shared by the lower animals.
These are attributes such as love and self-sacrifice, creativity and spirit (breath of life).
Since animals have to live in the perfect kingdom it makes sense that they also share these attributes. It means that they must also know good.
So what is unique about us? We have the authority to judge and punish.
Whoso sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
(Genesis 9: 6)
Natural Design: The Body Temple
Our body is a temple according to the Bible.
Since the Mishkan is a scientific model of the fundamental particles and forces of physics, chemistry and DNA, I concluded that it must have information about the design of the biological systems that can explain some of the language of the Bible concerning humans.

- Others (Outer Court). It represents the external world. The court itself represents those with a close relationship and the rest of the world is represented by the space outside of the sanctuary compound.
- Body (Sanctuary). It represents our physical body and internal world.
- Brain (Most Holy Place). It is the prefrontal cortex where our moral decisions and judgments are made.
There is a central protected space, representing the seat of authority. It guides all actions.
The brain is where we interact with the world. It is where God communicates with us.
- Body (Holy Place). This is our physical body whose desires often rule our mind.
- Self (Priests). Our ego is represented by the priest.
- The Two Natures (North And South Walls). Both rooms have a north and south wall which mirror each other. They are constructed from boards held together by magnetic bonds.
- The Bonds. The walls and roof are held together by different types of bonds.
- West Wall (Distance). The two walls are held apart by this wall, creating the room inside.
- Bars And Rings (Magnetic). The boards of all walls are held together with bars and rings.
- Ropes. The roof is tied down with ropes.
- Senses (External Access And Gateways).
These are the entrances and exits to our body. In the case of the outer court, the gateway is the special access that gives others the privilege of being in our inner circle.
The male body is designed with nine entrances and exits which are reflected in the number of columns in the sanctuary design.
- Brain (Most Holy Place).
There are four portals into the brain which affect our thoughts and decisions. These are the four columns into the Most Holy Place.
- 2 Eyes (Sight). We store words, ideas and images in our brain.
- 2 Ears (Sound). We store the sounds of words and ideas in our brain.
What we see and hear is compared to the copy of the Ten Commandments in our brain.
However we must be trained to develop this awareness. The best window of opportunity is childhood.
- Body (Holy Place).
The five columns into the Holy Place are the five portals in the body through which we take in nutrients and excrete waste.
There is one mouth (food), two nostrils (gas air), urethra (liquid urine) and anus (solid feces).
However, for moral decision making only these five portals are important access to the brain for communication with our innermost thoughts.
- Mouth (Words).
The mouth is the only other portal which also processes substances from the brain.
Our thoughts expressed in words exit the mouth through the tongue.
Since these five portals can also represent the benign entrances such as the anus and urethra it only highlights the symbol of what a "dirty, potty" mouth can spue out.
- 2 Eyes And 2 Ears. These go directly to the brain.
- Public Awareness (Outer Court). The sanctuary represents our physical structure, but the outer court represents the mental awareness that facilitates access to the body and mind.
Everything external is just as tangible as we are.
When we interact with our environment, we must create a mental space to negotiate this interaction. This might be our "thinking" function.
It also has accesses.
- North-South (Peers And Others). Only Ezekiel describes this entrance and it is the only entrance designed for the people. They must travel in one gate and exit the opposite.
While the thoughts inside our brain are not subject to scrutiny and can change based on our inner musings and fantasies, the thoughts in our head that are represented by the outer court must conform to common reality.
In this public space other minds must see the same reality that you see.
We can legitimately create a fictitious green monster in a healthy mind but we cannot see a green monster in the public space if nobody else can see it.
- East (Authority). In Ezekiel's sanctuary only the priest and king have access through this gate.
These thoughts also enter in our private space where we can create alternate realities but they must also recognize the common space.
There is a different interaction with those in authority in which submission is expected.
So the mentally ill are more likely to obey their concept of reality and discount the perception of others.
In the simplified Mishkan, there was only this one gate for all people but the rules still apply.

|
I used a shape sorting toy to illustrate how the mind works.
Imagine the southern wall as a place with solid objects of many different shapes.
Then imagine the north as a region with holes of many different shapes that match the objects.
- Two Natures (Mirror Image).
The sanctuary design not only shows two natures that are mirror image twins, it says that these natures are constructed from identical sub-parts joined together by a magnetic bond.
Then the two natures themselves are held together by a strong bond which is God.
One nature is the mirror image twin of the other - equal but opposite. This is why we argue back and forth within ourselves to make decisions. It is the design that makes reasoning possible.
In reasoning we have to look at both sides, not to advocate for one or the other but to know why one is right and the other is wrong before we make decisions.
- Dominant Nature (Good Desires - Spirit). Each commandment is like a different shaped object.
- Submissive Nature (Evil Desires - Flesh). A hole that matches the shape allows the object to pass through. Objects trapped inside are like sin stored in the sanctuary until they are removed on the Day of Atonement.
- Distance And Bonds.
In physics, a fixed distance between matter and antimatter keeps these necessary pairs from annhilating each other.
The west wall keeps the other two walls at a fixed distance. Maintaining two healthy natures means having a fixed personal space where life is lived.
- Moral Guidance (Conscience). We must have good moral absolutes to evaluate choices. Our conscience is a mini shape sorter. The Holy Spirit rules the conscience where all decision making occurs.
It is guided by the same rules as both our natures, but the conscience adds the dimension of mercy required by agape love.
Following The Conscience.
Somewhere in all of us is the innate ability to know right from wrong.
Everything that flows in us is measured by these standards.
Each of us is born with some measure of faith (Romans 12: 3). It means that God has not abdicated His throne.
If a fetus has too many errors it will generally be naturally aborted.
One of these fatal errors must be the inability to communicate with God at birth. We are not born without a conscience or innate knowledge of right from wrong.
We know what hurts and what does not.
- Body (Holy Place).
The bible consistently assigns function to the "heart" that is clearly the domain of the brain.
One wonders if the ancients did not know the difference.
Yet, in the design of the breastplate of the high priest, he was supposed to wear it so that the names of the twelve tribes would be "upon his heart".
And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually.
(Exodus 28: 29)
We know that Aaron wore the breast plate on his chest not his head.
Clearly, in this instance, the heart is the organ in the chest.
However, in the case of the tefillin the heart was both the brain and the hand where God "writes the laws in the heart".
Why does the Bible link the heart and the brain?
Following The "Heart".
The design is showing us that making good decisions is much more than listening to our brains. The brain has no pain receptors, although it is the place where pain is experienced.
We also listen to our body's feelings because it is the body which tests the environment and tells the brain additional information about what it is seeing, hearing and smelling. It helps us to build empathy.
So although the body executes the commands of the brain, it also provides input for decision making.
One characteristic of this evil generation is that the body is on the throne, not just one of the advisors.
When there is no king on the throne we rule by our own desires.
In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
(Judges 17: 6 and 21: 25)
The Mind Versus The "Heart".
So I must conclude that following the mind is simply intellectual knowledge or facts.
Following the heart is connecting this mental fact with feelings and emotions and actions.
The Hebrew word "lev" is apparently used for both words.
In Jeremiah 19: 5 many versions state that sacrificing children "never entered my mind".
and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I never commanded or spoke of, nor did it ever enter My mind;
(Jeremiah 19: 5)
Since God is omniscient then he must have seen this possibility and he must have lived through these actions with the wicked nations.
So when God is astonished that Israel would do this He means that this was in His mind as a fact or possibility but it was not His intentions nor in His heart for Israel.
This is supported by the fact that He "never commanded or spoke of it".
- Priest (Self). We must have control that is guided by our conscience.
We make initial decisions based on looking at the rules of right and wrong, then we submit it to our conscience and remove anything that is toxic.
- Access (Temptation). Many objects come in our minds. Ideally, they should be inspected and accepted or rejected based on righteousness.
- Movement (Decision). Decision making must go in a specific order.
Our desires and external influences make demands of us.
However, our moral absolutes must rule our desires through the voice of our conscience.
People bring objects to the priest through the gates of the outer court in Ezekiel's temple.
The priest makes initial inspection and discards anything that has a defect.
Then he takes the object and submits it to the Lord in the Most Holy Place for a final inspection.
On the Day of Atonement the place is cleansed. Sin meets it death in the presence of God.
Perhaps true knowledge of God can help those with mental illness. It is God who maintains the strong bond between the two natures and it is God who detects and destroys the evil.
Following The Crowd.
When we follow the crowd we bypass our sanctuary.
If we bypass our conscience and our feelings, there is always the crowd to tell us what is acceptable.
Sensible people engage in dangerous activities all the time because it is the empty but socially popular thing to do.
We take drugs and drink too much and are intimate with strangers because we submit only to what feels good and what is popular, despite the immediate risk and the negative consequences.
Fallen House.
The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish.
Wrong Way. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Negative. Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
(Proverbs 14: 11-13)
The road to destruction is easy and filled with many stupid, vapid groupies.
The serial butcher Charles Manson required all his followers to surrender their thinking and critical evaluation to him.
Despite the "free" love and sex and drugs, one man decided to leave so Charlie said, "Still thinking aren't you?"
The Big, Popular, Neon-Lighted Highway.
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
(Matthew 7: 13-14)
The way to righteousness is not hard to find. It is well marked. We are just too lazy and too afraid to be alone to walk in the paths of righteousness.
I submit that the road to destruction, is tougher, harsher, rockier and more congested.
» Designed To Worship.
We were designed to be in awe of someone greater and superior.
We were designed to submit and to worship.
Our social structure reinforces this design. We are born as helpless babes who must submit to parents.
When we are old enough to choose to obey we will willingly submit to them because we trust this loving presence in our lives.
As the circle get wider we give this same honor to the elderly and those in authority who have wisdom.
Submission is a form of worship and is the basis of repentance.
The Effect Of Sin.
|
|
Lawless (Thou Shalt)
Selfish (Thou Shalt Not)
|
|
|
So our conscience is a copy of the law and it rules and inspects everything that passes through it. Our two natures are based on the design of the law.
The nature that knows evil submits to the nature that knows good and both submit to the conscience.
We bring every external and internal influence under the jurisdiction of the good desires and the conscience.
The nature that knows evil also helps us to recognize what is not good.
Sin essentially disrupts this system by bypassing all the guardian systems.
We may end up with any combination of a corrupt or desolate conscience, or a flesh that rules or a spirit that does not fight back or external influences that seek to overwhelm us.
What is interesting is that according to the design we always know what is right and we always have a conscience except under one unique condition.
When we are condemned in the final judgment we will have two witnesses as required by law.
God will testify against us and we will testify for God and against ourselves.
- Defiling The Temple (Corrupting The Sanctuary).
Some people criticized the disciples for not obeying the rituals on cleansing.
Based on this design we can now understand Jesus' response. We are only defiled by whatever corrupts the brain.
Eventually this brain corruption will come out of the body through our words and actions.
What Corrupts Us.
And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
(Mark 7: 18-19)
- External Corruption. At first it seems that external objects that enter the body cannot defile them.
One could conclude then that violent sounds and sights or drugs and alcohol should have no effect.
- Internal Defilement. Further reading shows that if these external forces enter the body without entering the brain they cannot defile.
However, they will defile the body if they affect the mind.
So violent sights and sounds and food that influences the brain are sources of corruption.
However, when the disciples eat with unwashed hands, the immune system mechanisms in the digestive system and the body will kill and expel it before it enters the blood stream into the brain.
Even if pathogens enter the brain, they do not affect the hormonal system like drugs and alcohol and cannot defile the mind.
The conclusion is that we are only defiled by what comes out, but the source of the corruption first comes from the mind.
The mind can be corrupted by two routes.
- Internal. The evil that comes out of us defiles us, no matter how it came in the mind.
Evil Desires And Thoughts.
And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
(Mark 7: 20-23)
- External Mind Corruption. The evil that enters the brain will influence our thinking and eventually defile us. This evidence of defilement will eventually come out of us.
So, if Satan can get in and take control of our minds he will defile us.
In addition, a corrupt culture and failure to train the mind to do right can influence our mind towards evil.
- Warring Natures. One nature is supposed to be in subjection to the other. However, the submissive nature is fighting for dominance or equality.
This leads to confusion in the design.
Fighting For Control.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
(Galatians 5: 16-17)
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
(Romans 7: 24)
- Defacing The Image Of God (Worshipping Lesser Gods).
So, despite the fact that we clamour to be "free to do as we please" we are a generation of hero worshippers who love ourselves more than anything else and have little room for others.
Unfortunately, we idolize empty, corrupt models of cracked clay. Consequently, we seek gods made in our image and likeness.
We desire weak images that reflect the cheap desires in us.
- Confusing Good And Evil. We call good evil and evil good.
- Balancing Good And Evil (Ying And Yang).
Even worse, we think that coexistence is a necessary design.
We think that we have to live in balance with evil or peacefully coexist with it.
So neither our homes, schools, government nor churches are a model of the wisdom that comes from God.
- Instability (Double Minded). When both natures want to lead or neither is satisfied with their function then chaos erupts because essential tasks are not done.
In this case the confusion causes instability as people vacillate between decisions and responsibilities. Most mental health issues follow this malfunction.
Serving Two Masters.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
(James 1: 8)
The cure is to purify the heart and return to the Most Holy Place where God dwells and rules.
The Reign Of God.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
(James 4: 8)
- Reverse Polarity (The Reprobate Mind).
This mind is incapable of doing good any more for various reasons.
So they are in the state where everything they do is an unpardonable sin.
This is the worst case.
- Submissive In Control. The submissive nature completely dominates and is unable to produce good because it only knows what is evil.
- Dominant Nature Subdued. The good nature is silenced or under the control of evil external influences.
- Silent Conscience.
The conscience is silenced and the good nature is now in danger of being occupied by evil.
If we continually resist God and silence the conscience then the Holy Spirit will vacate.
We will devolve into untamed animals with two natures that know evil and a conscience that is evil.
- No Conscience (A Vacant Mind).
It will be filled by invitation (marriage) or force (rape) but it was not designed to be empty.
Spiritual rape occurs by demon possession when the Holy Spirit is forced to vacate and Satan takes over control and sits on the throne of the conscience.
Demon poossession also occurs in a clean mind when we refuse to invite God in after He has removed the demons at our request.
This throne cannot be vacant. We are not the captains of our soul.
Romans 7: Dueling Natures.
Paul perfectly describes the inner workings and conflicts of our nature.
Read Romans 7 as a duel between the two natures with a conscience trying to referee.
At times Paul seems to praise and blame the Ten Commandments.
- The Ten Commandments.
Some people seem to interpret this as meaning that if we get rid of the law then sin will no longer exist.
.
But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence [lust]. For without the law sin was dead.
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
(Romans 7: 8-10)
That is illogical. If we murder someone after painful torture and burn down their house and leave their family homeless it is still not a good thing even if we have not defined what it is or criminalized it.
Somebody was irreparably hurt and the law only defines the hurt that we should never cause but it does not cause hurt.
- Alive Without The Law. Before the law was written externally the righteous obeyed the law written in their hearts and they did not sin. They were alive without the printed letter of the law.
- Sin And Death By The Law. The law made us aware of why we are sinners, sentenced to death.
- Good. This does not make the law bad or cause us to sin. The law identifies sin, it does not create it.
The Law Is A Teacher.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
(Romans 7: 7)
- Bad .
Sin used the law to kill us. If it had not been for the law these ideas would not be in my head.
We can understand what Paul is saying by just understanding what happens.
The nature that knows evil now becomes evil because it is no longer in submission.
So sin used the law as a template of what it would do. So the "thou shalt not" becomes "thou shalt".
So in effect we know the details of sin because of the external record of the law, whereas it was an unconscious internal mechanism when we were perfect.
It is as if in the perfect world nobody ever conceived of the idea of adultery or bestiality until the law came and made it a possibility.
It made us think about negative or evil ideas that we would have never thought possible.
Reverse psychology says that the best way to get a teenager to do something is to tell them not to do it.
This now works because of how our carnal nature is malfunctioning.
It is teaching us about sin instead of screening for sin.
- The Spiritual Vs The Carnal.
The fault is not with the law. It is holy and good and spiritual.
.
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
(Romans 7: 11-14)
The problems is that there is a mismatch between the two natures. A spiritual mind needs a spiritual body, not a carnal body.
The problem is even worse. We have a carnal mind and a carnal body.
- Law of The Mind (The Inward Man).
This "inward man" is the conscience where God sits on the throne. The law of sin in my "members" is the dynamics between the north and south natures.
They war with each other and with the mind.
.
For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
(Romans 7: 22-23)
- Death, Divorce And Remarriage.
So the result is that we are joined or married to sin. As long as we are alive this marriage with sin has the legal force to bind us. There are only two ways to exit a marriage.
Our husband, sin, must die or we must divorce sin.
Then we must be married to Jesus Christ.
.
Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
(Romans 7: 1-2)
Notice that sin is in the masculine gender. This implies that sin is in the dominant role and we submit.
If sin is our husband he must die since death is really the only exit from a marriage that God prefers.
Even though God did not arrange this marriage, He must be the one to break it apart.
- Mind Over Matter. This almost seems to teach that the battle is impossible and we can only hope to serve God in our mind but the flesh can never be tamed.
Deliverance Is Here.
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
(Romans 7: 24-25)
Remember that defilement comes from within, so Paul is thankful that the mind can overcome, even if the flesh cannot.
Since our minds can be victorious through our new husband, Jesus Christ, then our flesh will be victorious because what is within will come out.
The mind can and will conquer the flesh.
Wrestling Match.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
(Galatians 5: 17)
We who live in the flesh must come to the place where we want to be free.
We must approach God like Jacob. He wrestled with God because he wanted to be blessed.
Then he submitted and was crippled. We must want something better bad enough to cling ferociously to God, then we must let God disable the flesh.
- A New Spiritual Body. We are not delivered from the law of the Ten Commandments, we are delivered from the flesh that fails.
A Spiritual Resurrection.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
(Romans 7: 4-6)
- Dead. Serving in the "oldness of the letter" means that our submissive nature of the old body dominates.
When we are alive in the old body we are dominant in sin. When we are dead, then we are the most submissive. We must be dead to the old flesh and alive to the new body.
- Alive. In death we get a new body - the resurrected body of Christ. So that it is no longer I who live in my members. It is Jesus Christ who lives in me.
Serving in the newness of the Spirit means that the dominant nature functions normally and we are driven by the good we should do.
- Alive In Jesus Christ. We do not have to wait for the resurrection when we will have our own spiritual bodies. We can have access to the spiritual body of Christ now.
We must kill the flesh and its lusts and let the spirit live.
Remedy.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
(Galatians 5: 16, 24-25)
- No Condemnation.
When we are in the Spirit there is no law that condemns us since we obey the law.
Not Under Judgment.
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
(Galatians 5: 18)
The Personalities.
Like our dual natures, our personalities are designed in opposite pairs for the purpose of good decision making.
We fall into trouble when we ignore the arguments of one side in favor of another.
The sanctuary also explains the components that form our personalities. An examination of these systems show some weaknesses that lead us to sin.
It also shows the importantance of this design of a dual nature. No single nature is enough. It takes the cooperation and coordination and exchange of points of view in the two natures to arrive at the best solution.
God made all these personality traits. Our nature was divided into at least four pairs of traits which mediate the complexity of coping with the world.
It is possible that sin disrupted this design by interfering with the interaction between the paired natures.
If we were dynamic we would draw from the strengths of each nature as the circumstances warranted, but our natures and personalities are at war.
- Social Interaction (Temple - Outer Court) [Introvert-Extravert].

Extraverts receive stimulation from interaction with others and introverts from introspection. Introverts live inside the sanctuary and the extraverts in the outer court and beyond.
Sin.
Extraverts have the danger of being people-pleasers who ignore the will of God while introverts may be guilty of not sharing the knowledge of God with the outside because they are content with their personal faith.
The priests spent most of their time in the outer court and beyond with the people but they always took time to recharge at the sanctuary.
The great commission requires that we act like extroverts for the purpose of spreading the faith and like introverts for the purpose of retaining our faith.
- Information Gathering (Doors) [Inntuitive-Sensory]. This explains how we gather the information. Do we primarily rely on our senses (sensory) or do we subject that information to the mind (intuitive).
Sin.
The danger of the sensory type is that they do not subject their ideas to the will of God.
If the intuitive place anyone but God on the pedestal then they are also in danger.
Even when God is in control, mercy compels God to listen to those outside. So the righteous intuitive should listen to others, but give God the priority.
- Decision Making (Most Holy Place) [Thinking-Feeling]. This dimension shows how we process information to make decisions. Do we primarily rely on objective logic (thinking) or do we refer to our value systems (feeling).
This pair of personality traits are directly related to the contents of the Most Holy Place or the prefrontal cortex of the brain.
It is a negotiation between rules (thinking) and mercy (feeling).
Sin.
Spiritual danger comes when we ignore the law in favor of opinions or we become so dogmatic that we forget the role of mercy and compassion.
In God's economy we never ignore the law but we grant mercy in the hope that one day we will conform to the law.
- Action And Problem Solving (South-North Walls) [Judging-Perceiving].
How do we act on the decisions we make in the external environment on a daily basis.
This is how the decisions are carried out in the members.
We are "judging" when we are systematic, organized and plan ahead and seek closure. We are "perceiving" when we are flexible and have a "wait and see" attitude.
Judging is clearly the domain of the law in the dominant nature and perceiving is our attempts to carry out the duty of mercy in the submissive nature.
» Cross Wiring.
I am suddenly able to understand more about the nature that knows evil.
In the diagram I placed the Ten Commandments in the north because this is the "thou shalt not" nature which needs help in choosing the right actions.
However, it is clear that the dominant "judging" nature is in the south.
Then I remembered that the brain and body and the Most Holy Place also have this same cross wiring. The left side of the brain controls the right side of the body.
So now we can see that the submissive nature not only recognizes evil, when it functions properly it is the one that most understands and implements mercy.
Suddenly I see an extremely valuable trait of this nature.
Since we are made in the image of God, and since this nature seems to be the one most susceptible to evil this shows that we have an important strength.
In the Most Holy Place mercy trumps law for now.
Sin.
Spiritual danger comes when we sacrifice flexibility for efficiency or when indecision prevents us from completing tasks.
- Time Management (Roof) [Rest - Work].
All personality theories recognize only the four dimensions described above.
Based on the sanctuary structure, there must be a fifth dimension to our personalities.
The most I can say is that it is related to two kinds of time and it affects all other personality traits.
One time is flexible and the other is fixed and "colorful". It is even subdivided into time spent with God and time with other activities.
I am guessing that it measures our attitude towards the use of time.
Sin.
The symbols show that at every level religious time is fixed. It is secular time that is flexible.
Sin occurs when we take away time from God or spend too much time on unimportant tasks. We can spend more time at work or play or with our families.
We can also use God's time for our own activities.
The Process Of Mind Management.
Since sin begins in the mind, then the primary goal of Satan is to shatter the mind.
As far as we know, defective genes, drugs and alcohol, criminal corruption of minors and extreme abuse can trigger mental illness.
Even our personalities seem to affect how we respond to God and to our environment.
- Mind Molding (Bond Making).
A process seen in lower animals may be present in humans. In human development there are critical windows in which we acquire knowledge and skills and if they are missed it seems impossible to recover from them.
These brief windows in development affect language acquisition, abstract thinking, acting human, laughing, walking, crying, eating and sleeping.
- Imprinting. Geese recognize "mother" as the first moving object they see within the first 24 hours.
- Language. If a child is not taught language by 5 years old they will never acquire them.
- Feral Children. Children raised by animals (dogs, monkeys, chickens) acquire the language, habits and behavior of these animals.
If they are not rescued in time, no other human socialization attempts will overcome this behavior. They will walk on all fours or flap their arms like chickens.
A boy raised by chickens preferred to perch on a roost to sleep.
A girl raised by chickens preferred to peck at her food one piece at a time.
Even raised in a home with a pet as a prominent part of the family causes children to mimic some of their behavior.
Since we are made in the "image of God" it is of utmost importance that we do not descend to the level of beasts and four-footed creatures.
and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
(Romans 1: 23)
- Artificial Bonds.
Then there is the new phenomenon of social media which markets itself as a scientific match-making tool by pooling people of "like" minds.
Unfortunately, the exploitative, commercial nature of these bonds and the anonymous nature of these associations are as useful as bar-hopping as a tool to find "friends".
The social creature that God created has now become a wasteland of Borgs bonded to their computers which are tethered to artificial friends on the other end.
It is an anti-social media.
- Mind Control (Bond Enslavement).
Sometimes the bonds are so tight they become shackles. Even in the sanctuary certain bonds are best when there is freedom or room between the bonded pair.
- Abusive Bonds.
Torture, mind control or absolute domination are all based on dysfunctional bonding.
- Drug-Induced. What are the negative effects of drugs and alcohol on the process of bond making?
These drugs and some foods negatively affect the prefrontal cortex. Under these influences we form strong bonds with a product or an activity, not with people.
Unfortunately, these are the conditions under which we are culturally trained to seek out bonding.
- Sick Bonds.
Years of degrading and immoral behavior whether by choice or victimization can lead to heinous crimes. Defiled thoughts can lead to defiled actions because we were designed to mirror our dominant.
We seem to be molded by what is being modeled, no matter how destructive it is.
So the sexually abused become the next generation of abusers even if they know by experience or reeducation that this is wrong.
The only way to overcome this is to rely on the backup plan.
Our conscience is also designed to reinforce the dominant nature and it knows the submissive nature.
So severe abuse can be overcome by correct moral training but there is a danger that the victim can also see God through the eyes of the abuser and the current discipline of psychology is more likely to point to belief in God as a problem not a solution.
- Mind Shattering (Bond Breaking).
Certain sins seem to have a greater effect on the mind. Anything that disrupts appropriate bonding has serious effects which cause the shattering of the mind.
Faulty bond making creates a weak self-image.
The evidence is that anything that creates an unstable self image or unstable sense of self leads to a fracturing of the self.
- Missing Bonds. Neglect or incomplete bonding also affects the mind.
Babies who are well fed and cared for in an orphange kept dying because they were not held enough.
Love is crucial to our health. Pedophiles generally seek out children who are not making nurturing bonds and create abusive bonds.

- Sexual Imprinting (Two Become One).
The unbreakable bonds of marriage seems to require some sort of imprinting.
Sex is not only to be exclusive to one person, it is illegal and immoral before the participants reach maturity.
The hormones released at puberty are designed to help us to make this particular type of bond.
We are not even supposed to see our parents naked.
These rules and prohibitions seem to be in place because of our design.
When we bond with multiple partners it must weaken our ability to form the lasting bonds of marriage because many are now one.
We cannot be forced into such relationships against our will and before our bodies are ready.
When we bond before our hormones are ready, it must also have a damaging effect on the mind.
When that act involves pain and torture it shatters the personality.
We are designed as pieces anchored in position and held together by an internal attractive bond.
What if we are self-repelling and not anchored? We cannot bond with ourself or others and are lost internally and externally.
- Imprinting Righteousness.
God has given us instructions on personal conduct that will assist in fighting sin.
He has set windows of time in which these goals are best achieved.
- Moral Values (Childhood).
We must imprint on God's values during childhood, not on the world. Imprinting on the Ten Commandments allows us to train our two natures to communicate with our conscience, just as acquiring language and human socilization skills allow us to communicate with the world.
Television, day care centers or a series of baby sitters must not be the best ideas.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
(Proverbs 22: 6)
This emphasizes the importance of good role models in our formative years.
There is a movement among educators and atheists to favor moral relativism under the guise of "love" and "tolerance".
Even teaching your children right from wrong through the ten commandments is being called child abuse by atheists.
To deny that there are moral absolutes means that atheism must eliminate God from society and for churches to eliminate the Ten Commandments from their congregations.
- Sabbath (Bonding With God). Imprinting on God allows us to strengthen the bond between self and the small voice of our conscience.
Worshipping God and meeting other worshippers on Sabbath helps the bonds. When childhood training is absent, this is the only route available for a person to recognize God on his own.
- Marriage (Fidelity And Purity). Abstinence before marriage gives us the chance to make the best possible marital bond.
Interestingly, God says that a Christian spouse can lead an evil spouse to God by their loving behavior.
As the couple bond in a mirror image pair, he will eventually reflect her values because they will be attractive to him and she will be the stronger influence if she is totally submitted to God.
The popular culture makes it a disgrace and a point of ridicule to be a virgin, child abuse to take children to church and a sign of intellectual poverty to believe in God.
This is the propaganda of the great slave master.
Mental Illness.
Now we can understand some mental illness with this model and see how personality traits exacerbate the problems.
If a mental illness involves a gross exaggeration of a trait then a personality that leans towards that trait increases the problem.
If you have psychological control issues then being a natural choleric does not help.
- Personality Disorders. All the disorders appear to be related to the natural flow between the dominant and submissive natures and the distance between the poles.
They could also be caused by a malfunction in one or both natures.
Either they stop functioning or take over the role of the other nature.
In addition, other people may be seen as fulfilling the role of one of these poles and the person is unable to separate self from others.
- Eccentric Personalities (Distance). They appear strange or peculiar to others.
The walls have a set distance between them which is maintained by the west wall.
These disorders tends to prefer a greater distance between the poles.
- Paranoid. They tend to interpret the actions of others as threatening.
- Schizoid. They are detached from social relationships, and shows a narrow range of emotional expression in various social settings.
- Schizotypal. They are uncomfortable in close relationships, have thought or perceptual distortions, and peculiarities of behavior.
This means that there are disorders which are based on a need to decrease the distance between poles.
» Claustrophobia. This anxiety disorder is caused by a malfunction in the perception of distance.
In his perception of God and his relationship to God Satan developed an eccentric personality.
He saw God as threatening and spread propaganda with this claim.
His range of emotional relationships turned inward and nobody except himself mattered.
He disguised these feelings with the dramatic personality in order to reach out and trap others in his diabolical plan to unseat God.
I wonder when the other fallen angels realized that he never cared about them, but that they were pawns in his selfish game plan?
His eccentric behavior and self-absorption may have been excused by his position.
- Dramatic Personalities (Two Dominant Poles).
They have intense emotional mood swings, distorted perceptions of themselves and impulsive behaviors.
All these symptoms fit the behavior of Satan and the testimony of God is that this was self-induced.
He wanted two dominant poles. He had the highest position of a created being and he wanted to be God.
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
(Ezekiel 28: 15)
- Antisocial. They have a pervasive disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others.
» Psychopath/Sociopath.
They are a subset of this group. There is no drug or therapy that will cure them and their behavior is not traced to childhood issues.
Satan is a psychopath.
His behavior cannot be traced to parental issues. It was not God's fault.
- Borderline. They have a generalized pattern of instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image, and observable emotions, and significant impulsiveness.
They can become stalkers who latch on to the personality of another, copying and mirroring their appearance and behavior.
They seem to be half a personality in search of their other half. Unable to identify their inner mirror image, they find one externally and begin to set up the bonds.
- Histrionic. They often display excessive emotionality and attention seeking, tend to overreact to other people, and are shallow and self-centered.
He was the chief covering cherub, beautiful, popular, covered in precious stones and best in music with the instrument built into his body. He was the original rock star.
It was not enough attention. God had more and he wanted that. How could he leap one more position when there was an impenetrable glass ceiling?
So he overreacted to the plans to create a new race in the image of God who would rise to be higher than the angels.
Some day he would not be number one but would continually fall in rank with the birth of every human baby.
- Narcissistic. They have a grandiose view of themselves, a need for admiration, a lack of empathy and are very demanding in their relationships. They think no rules apply to them.
He is lawless.
He had a distorted, grandiose and unrealistic self-image.
Just as he wanted to be God on the throne of Zion, he now wants to be Christ, the legitimate ruler of the universe.
Seeing God in the form of a created being (human form), he must have reasoned that he can become God through this route but on his terms.
So he became the polar opposite mirror image of the Christ - the Antichrist. His disdain for law and order has produced universal chaos.
Impossible as it must be, he (a creature), thought that he could become God (a Creator).
» Malignant Narcissist. They are mini-antichrists. Not only are their poles distorted, their eastern door is walled up. There is only death inside.
They do not recognize others outside or God inside their conscience but are focused on their own will which has no laws or boundaries.
The cure for these people is to learn to submit. The first step is to relinquish foolish pride and recognize that some simple fundamental logic escapes them.
- Anxious Personalities (Two Submissive Poles). They are often fearful and anxious of many things. It is like having two north poles or an extremely powerful north pole and an extremely weak south.
- Avoidant. They are socially inhibited, feel inadequate, and are oversensitive to criticism.
A malfunctioning dominant nature does not interact with either the submissive nature or with the external world but its need to be perfect appears as sensitivity to criticism.
- Dependent. They show an extreme need to be taken care of that leads to fears of separation, and passive and clinging behavior. Both natures are submissive because the dominant nature acts submissive. Its need to control now appears as clinging behavior.
- Obsessive-Compulsive. They are preoccupied with orderliness, perfectionism, and control at the expense of flexibility, openness, and efficiency.
The natures are submissive to themselves.
In the millennium, when Satan is forced into a 1000 year time-out period, he will go mentally insane.
He is forcibly separated from the wicked, criticized for ruining the universe, socially isolated by even his fellow rebel angels and the constant butt of jokes across the universe.
He cannot be God and He is not the formerly admired covering cherub or the ruler of the earth.
It is during this time that the anxious personality will surface and he will go mad waiting for his death sentence and the final humiliation and condemnation before all the people who ever lived.
Extreme Anxiety.
And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
(Deuteronomy 28: 66)

- Mood Disorders (North-South). These are characterized by changes in mood.
In the sanctuary this is represented by movement between the north and south (submissive - dominant).
In this configuration the submissive nature is the more depressed and the dominant is the manic nature.
- Bipolar. The person goes between extended periods of major depression and major manic acitivity.
The personality switches control between the two natures when it is supposed to go only one way like a river.
- Cyclothymic. A mild form of bipolar disorder.
- Major Depressive Disorder. The submissive nature is in control.
Mood swings are caused by a malfunction in the flow of control between the two natures.
This symptom appears in this instance because the natures are alternating domination.
A well balanced person allows the situation to dictate which nature is in control even when we acknowledge which is the head.
Control is handed over in a civil manner, but in this disorder the swing is a violent takeover.
Satan had a major defeat at the cross. Now he is on the war path.
For 2000 years he has been on an extended period of major manic activity as he tries to destroy the church. The millennium will force him into a period of major depression.
Even little psychopaths need rest.
- Psychotic Disorders.
This disorder must originate with a physical or organic disease in the brain.
Our thoughts are generated from either our own internal imagination or the set of operations that allow us to interact with others.
With the underlying disease they are unable to separate these internal image reflections (thoughts) from real interaction.
The disease presents itself as a physical split between the north and south.
Since the walls have a shiny surface and stand opposite each other, internal thoughts may appear internally as an infinite series of images in broken mirrors in a fun house.
The normal mind may dull the shine to control the number of reflections and it recognizes self separately from its reflections.
- Schizophrenia. Characterized by a split mind with delusions with the inability to tell the difference between reality and hallucinations (multiple reflected images).
- Delusional Disorder. Delusions appear as reality.
In the Mishkan, the sanctuary models the thoughts inside the brain. The outer court models the interaction between our thoughts and the outer world.
What we see in the outer court must match what others see. So this is the area of the brain that coordinates our sense of reality.
It is where the mind of others meet and synchronize with our mind and we are supposed to know that this is reality while the operations inside are the blackboard where we evaluate this reality, even if it means making up temporary alternate realities as an evaluation tool.
In these disorders our internal perceptions are experienced as reality not make-believe. Our inner sanctuary has merged into our outer court.
Some barrier is broken in our brain. This is the door between the sanctuary and the outer court or even the roof.
In the worst case all the walls are broken.
There must be a structure or systems in the brain that regulates this.
The effects of illegal drugs give us some clue about which structures are involved.
One other clue that we have from the Mishkan is that most of these barriers are related to time.
He does not have this disorder but he tries to impose it on humans.
However, in the interest of justice, he will be forced to endure experiences that he forced on others.
In the millennium he will be delusional and his extreme fears will fabricate monsters that he cannot control.
His mind will shatter and he will spoil his own beauty.
- Dissociative Disorders.
Dissociation is a common defense or reaction to severe isolated traumas or repeated traumas.
It impairs the normal state of awareness and alters one's sense of identity, memory or consciousness.
There are several possible major breaks which may occur separately or in combination.
- Two Structures (World And Self). This is the division between the sanctuary and the outer court. It could be presented as extreme introversion (autism) or extreme extroversion (exhibitionism) and risk taking.
- Two Rooms (Conscience And Self). This is the division between the Most Holy Place and the Holy Place. Since God guarantees that all people will have the Holy Spirit to witness internally there is technically nobody without a conscience.
However, we must consult our conscience like high priests standing before the door at the incense altar. Those described as lacking empathy are either ignoring their conscience or not consulting it.
- Two Walls (Dual Natures). A split between the dominant and submissive natures.
- Linked Boards (Shattered Personality). The walls are actually made up of individual boards held together by a magnetic bond. If these boards are not bonded the personality will be shattered.
- Sanctuary And Roof (Time Distortion). It should be possible for someone to be disconnected from the present and the future or be confused.
» Dissociative Identity Disorder (Multiple Personalities Disorder).
 |
Fractured And Distorted Self Image |
This is mostly seen in patients with sexual and physical trauma and in patients treated by hypnosis.
Patients with borderline personality disorder tend to also have this history.
Estrogen worsens the symptoms. So females tend to suffer more from this disorder.
The onset of puberty may be a window where certain bonds are strengthened or weakened by the introduction of high levels of estrogen and testosterone.
Our female or submissive nature seems to be the weakest link. It is more easily fractured.
» Hypnosis. Disguised as a cure, it is damaging to the mind.
Although proponents claim that we cannot be hypnotized to do anything against our will, I disagree.
All hypnosis seems to take control of the submissive nature. It is harder to unseat the conscience, especially with a strong mind, but it can be done with repeated efforts.
When Satan's mind shatters he will dissociate into multiple criminal, sociopathic personalities who will torture each other.
At his own hands he will physically and psychologically torment and punish himself.
- Demon Possession (Unstable Mind).
We are now beyond the realm of environmental, chemical or genetically induced psychosis.
When Satan is in control of the conscience he is unable to create the strong bond.
The personality and the conscience falls apart. The victim has all the symptoms of mental illness and more.
This type of infiltration (demonic possession) has the ability to fracture more than the submissive nature.
If it is possible he will possess himself.
There is usually one controlling dominant personality in this disorder who may be aware of the other personalities.
Satan's original rebellious personality will be aware of the others but he cannot control their behavior or emotions.
Yes he will possess himself with the most violent of personalities and the most depressed of personalities.
At the start of the millennium the charges are read to him and placed on his head.
They will remind him that he is a failure and this is all his fault.
He will torture himself and cannot end the cycle.
Self-mutilation and condemnation.
Self-Condemnation.
And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
(Leviticus 16: 21-22)
Satan intends to fragment our minds.
Whether it is by choice or force, engaging in sinful acts has serious consequences.
How many children fall into mental illness, fail in marriage or feel driven to same sex partners because of bad imprinting, missing bonds, pedophilia or inappropriate bonds or even hormonal contamination?
Creating A Flawless Design.
Critics pounce on the choice associated with free will as the flaw. However, there cannot be freedom without choices.
Why did God not ensure that Lucifer would choose the good when God will punish him for being bad?
Let us explore some alternate designs and discover why Lucifer wanted to ignore the boundaries.
A Design With Boundaries. Any design involves the ability to make choices and all responsible designs have boundaries.
These boundaries can be controlled externally or internally.
Internally controlled boundaries require some sort of intelligence.
No Free Will.
Objects that can only be controlled externally are also generally dead or inanimate.
- Stone Or Nail (No Choices). Whether created by God or reshaped by man certain objects have no choice.
They are moved, pushed and pulled at the whim of other forces.
In addition, they have no internal life which produces or cares how they are being used. They are dead.
- Light Switch (Two Choices). This is also a dead object but it can be engineered with intelligence which is externally activated.
It has two phases: "on" or "off", which are externally administered.
- Law (Choices - No Decisions). A law simply defines boundaries but it never makes decisions.
- Computer (Rules - Artificial Decision). Once an external force initiates the internal mechanisms (program), a computer can use internal rules and decision making structures to implement those rules.
» Robot. A self propelling vacuum cleaner is simply a computer whose boundaries are no longer internal, but the internal rules and decision making processors assist the object in maintaining the boundaries.
- Robot (Limited Choices - Artificial Intelligence).
These objects can do very sophisticated tasks better than humans and can be programmed to randomly make decisions within the boundaries specified so that they simulate human decision making processes.
However, they lack other features that makes them superior creations.
They cannot respond to reward or punishment so that they can feel or enjoy the consequences of their decisions.
They cannot make decisions based on their effect on other people's actions.
Nothing hurts them or makes them sympathetic or empathetic.
- Tree (No Choices - Chemically Induced Decision). A tree is also moved at the desire of other external forces like the wind or a farmer.
However, it has internal instructions which allow it to grow and produce fruit.
While the wind and the farmer can affect external movement. It is only the internal mechanisms which allow it to grow.
Even so, sunshine, water, air, wind, insects and the earth also affects the tree's ability to effectively utilize its internally activated resources to grow and reproduce.
Although it is alive and reproduces, it has no free will and its "choices" are determined by random events operating within externally controlled boundaries.
So having a free will is more than just having life or producing life or having the ability to make choices.
Free will requires having a dual nature.
Limited Free Will.
Both natures know only good. If the design becomes damaged they are unable to do some good perfectly and it becomes sin by "missing the mark".
- Animals (Limited Choices - Guaranteed Decision). This applies to perfect animals in the new earth. Since their decisions are limited and somewhat guaranteed there are no consequences.
This is the design that critics want for humans, but look at the obvious limitations.
- Human (Limited Choices And Limited Decisions). Prisoner, mental deficiency, brain disease (alzheimer's), baby.
Which would you prefer to be for life?
Free Will.
They have two natures with the good nature dominating the nature that recognizes evil.
This is the design of those who can be leaders. They can judge, evaluate any extremes, know why something is right or wrong and forsee the natural consequences of an act.
Since they are disciplined enough to choose only the good, they will be just and fair.
- Righteous (Unlimited Choices - Decision With Consequences).
We have unlimited choices and can internally weigh the consequences.
Unlike a computer which must be programmed for every possible contingency we can learn and adapt in any environment.
Unlike animals we can explore the limits of our environment as long as we understand the consequences.
- Wicked (Unlimited Choices - Decision Without Consequences).
God does not manufacture consequences to limit our freedom and pleasure.
Consequences tell us what is naturally beyond the boundary of our freedom.
If you have a human body you cannot jump off a ten story building without consequences. The limits of your design are about ten feet before serious injury occurs.
Even if God changes the design so that there are no consequences, eventually God would have to create god to eliminate all negative consequences.
A universe of nothing but red roses becomes boring. So is a universe of all gods. This is why we love the antics of babies and puppies - the joys of "imperfection".
So, the moment you introduce variations and limitations you have to be concerned about boundaries.
A Design Without Boundaries.
I believe that Satan wanted to change to a system without boundaries so that all actions are internally driven by whatever one desires.
He did not need God to tell him what to do. After all, he is an intelligent adult creature.
The only problem with this idea is that there are other creatures.
- A Universe Of One (Loneliness). Only when you do not have to consider the needs of others is this possible.
They only things that will suffer destruction are the inanimate objects and those with limited responses like trees.
If neither one of these existed then the only other creature that you could hurt is yourself.
A desire to only please oneself can lead to self destruction if you do not impose boundaries on your self.
Have you ever met a drug addict?
So at a minimum we have to construct a self-sized mesh, not to limit freedom but to make sure we can survive to enjoy our freedoms.
This design is unacceptable. It is flawed.
If the one is perfect then there will be loneliness. If the one is flawed then there will eventually be self destruction.
- A Universe Of Me (Selfishness).
So we have to introduce others into the community if we agree that it is good to have other creatures or to have others who will help us not to self destruct.
We could construct a reality where everyone did as they pleased and did what was right in their own eyes and appoint designated drivers and chaperones to reduce the odds of self destruction.
Have you ever met a "star" and their entourage?
- Criminal Activity (Exploitation). The strong would prey on the weak and we would immediately have a society in which slavery is the norm.
The strongest would maintain their privilege and lifestyle at the expense of others. It would not be a safe environment.
- Chaos (Anarchy).
If we did not have slavery where the few subdued the many perpetually then we would have anarchy and armed camps at war with each other.
Most would retaliate to survive and many would intrude on others to gain advantage.
- Imprisonment (Cults). If we could be separated into armed encampments then the strong would impose their will on the weak to satisfy their selfish desires.
So within each camp there would also be a form of slavery and fear where the dominant ruled the weak as assets to fulfill their selfish desires.
We have modern examples of this in cults and despotic governments.
This design is unacceptable. It is flawed. It will lead to slavery which is the exact condition which engulfed the world for over 5800 years.
In fact this is the condition that caused sin to arise in one who was perfect.
Self-Corruption.
Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
(Ezekiel 28: 15-18)
Worshipping Myself.
For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
(Isaiah 14: 13-14)
This is how Satan corrupted himself. He refused to recognize the rights of others - even God. It is the norm that he is trying to impose on us to enslave us.
However, we have discovered that we need laws, jails, designated drivers or ignition-interlock devices, condoms and penicillin.
We have discovered the consequences of lawlessness.
- A Universe Of Many Me (Mini-Me). A universe of more than one under these rules is still a universe of "Me" because all that matters is what the individual desires and there is no law that recognizes the desires of others or my duty to acknowledge their boundaries and rights.
- A Universe Of Nothing But Me (The Abyss).
So God sentenced Satan to such a universe.
- A Place Of Nothing But Me.
Even the devil is afraid of the dark. Satan and his angels are afraid of the abyss, a vast space of emptiness with a bunch of other selfish angels. I find this amusing.
Hello Emptiness.
And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep [abyss, bottomless pit].
And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them.
(Luke 8: 31-32)
- I Got A Tiger By Its Tail. This experiment with earth is turning out to be one giant headache. Now he has quarreling humans. If he wanted to create a model for other unfallen worlds he has clearly lost control.
I find this amusing too. The only thing Satan can do now is to make God as unhappy as possible. He has lost his one argument with the rest of the universe that his planet building model should be followed. He can never hope to rule heaven and he can never hope to control us.
So he has resorted to killing us because we clearly do not deserve him.
In the end, Hitler thought this about the German people.
- One Last Chance. One More Abyss. So during the millennium God puts him in another type of abyss of matter where he gets 1000 years to raise the dead and recreate the earth and prove that he is God.
Even on the destroyed earth where there is destroyed matter and dead bodies he will still go mad in a vast space of ugly loneliness, quarreling angels and the limitations that come from being a stupid creature.
A design without boundaries is not Utopia. It is not the ultimate environment of freedom. Children are unsafe.
Since we have to interact it means that we need rules of conduct.
The world around me is not a vacuum or a boundless space of emptiness.
We need boundaries to manage our freedom. We need others to enjoy our freedoms. We need boundaries to coexist with others.
We need boundaries to protect the naturally weak from exploitation like pedophiles.
So we conclude that we do need boundaries otherwise we are neither safe nor free and certainly not happy.
Have you found happiness yet Satan?!
Have you won?
A Design With Dynamic Negotiated Boundaries.
This idea sounds so "free".
I suppose that Satan argued that one could avoid the obvious problems of criminal behavior and selfishness through negotiation.
So what would happen if we imposed the minimum rules on our behavior towards our self and then negotiate the rules with each person we meet.
- Inefficient (Suspicious Atmosphere).
You do not know what to expect under these conditions. If one desires to be safe then fear must first precede negotiations.
If one is designed with feelings then these fleeting moments of mutual fulfillment will eventually create an emotional wasteland.
If we do not want to suffer these emotional pitfalls then we need to be designed as robots.
However, it is this emotional component in our design that distinguishes us from the GPS-propelled lawn mower that makes life so much better.
You create a society of negotiated loneliness and fraud. This is universal prostitution. Since there are no consequences to which one can be bound everybody lies to get their desires fulfilled.
Soon, boredom will make even these unfettered desires uninteresting.
» Third-Party Match-Making (The Middle Man).
To reduce the inefficiency of meeting like-minded individuals we would have to create organizations like FaceBook, on-line dating and social clubs.
All this really does is to institutionalize brothels, lying, loneliness, fake pictures and fake personalities on an even grander scale.
- Conflicting Desires (Adversarial Atmosphere).
If there are no rules or enforced consequences and everyone wants to fulfill their desires (power, greed, sex, thrill) then someone always loses in every negotiation.
There will always be victors and victims which will be determined by who has the most power and influence, the most compelling lies and the worst morals. This is social Darwinism.
This design is unacceptable. It is flawed.
It is like living in the Wild West where the only law is the gun.
This might be acceptable for Darwinian evolutionists, but survival of the fittest means that the vast majority loses.
Those who care about others will never win and the ruthless will eventually self-destruct.
So the rules of inter-personal behavior called "morality", not power, are necessary for the happiness of the species.
A Design With Limited Static Boundaries.
Static, concrete boundaries are more efficient. There are less laws and less conflict.
Everyone knows what to do and everyone knows what is expected of them.
- Golden Rule (Self-Driven Compass). The minimum rule in a negotiated boundary situation where all one cares about is one's internal desire and drive for happiness and agrees to afford others the same courtesy.
Our own desires set the standards for our internal compass and we should give others the same respect.
So now a sex addict has to consider whether the other person wants his forced attention. So criminal behavior ceases if you want to be fair.
Fairness To My Neighbour.
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
(Matthew 7: 12)
However, this is still filled with danger. If all one wants is to fulfill any pleasurable desire then a sadist or a masochist would have the legal authority to prey on victims by claiming that any normal person should want what they desire.
In order to maintain this lifestyle he would have to ensure that he is equipped to meet resistance with violence.
Have you seen the work of serial killers and rapists?
Clubs of like-minded people could associate exclusively with each other.
This sets up a segregated society which quickly falls apart as children with their own desires are introduced or if adults change their desires.
So the introduction of other people with different desires disrupts your Utopia.
- Limited Rules (Public Compass). So now we acknowledge that any rules must also include the desires of others even though we have only our own internal drive as the model of what others might want.
So a fair set of rules would be to let others define what they want.
The common set of rules would be the public rules.
So we have just designed ourselves into the Ten Commandments!
They are an external compass.
- Honor God. God states what He wants in the first four.
- Honor Others. The next five rules are the minimum rules for peaceful coexistence.
- Honor Self. The final rule is also a self-checking rule to guard us from internally encroaching on others.
Although it is the last commandment, this was how sin erupted.
Covetousness is wanting only your desires to the extent that we resent the boundaries of others. So we encroach internally, secretly resenting and hating and stifling any joy at their success and secretly enjoying their failures.
So the best thing that you can do for yourself is to be content. It makes you enjoy what you have and what others have.
Covetousness makes us dissatisfied with our own accomplishments and those of others.
Don't Worry. Be Happy.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
(Hebrews 13: 5)
When each person seeks to fulfill the desires of others then everybody's needs are met.
However, this could be the basis for laws in a brothel or sex club except for one other foundation.
When we submit these desires to the general boundaries to which we agree then we ensure a peaceful society, not one built on mutual exploitation.
All defilement begins inside. Sin began when Satan internally encroached on others. It was bound to spill out.
Designed Consequences.
A part of the public contract is the consequences. They are based on the damage that the public agrees they will incur if the public rules are violated. They are not arbitrarily made up to punish.
Satan will be punished for being bad because these are one of the rules built into the public contract.
This is why the entire congregation stones the wicked. The congregation agreed to the law. The congregation will judge the violation of the law and the congregation will carry out the death penalty.
Stoned By The Public.
Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.
(Leviticus 24: 14, 16)
When the crime is against God, it requires a public hearing and judgment to bring punishment.
So God ensures that He does not appear to react unilaterally or with vengeance when He is wronged because the potential for a case of manipulation through His power must be avoided.
» Eternal Annhilation.
So Satan is not arbitrarily punished for being bad. He knew that violating the rules means death.
We humans must have time to evaluate this. So this is why Satan still exists and was not immediately annihilated.
As a society we know know that prison or controlled isolation is a just punishment for those who do not value the rights of others.
However, freedom has consequences. Nobody can be totally free if others can violate our space at will.
So when God removes the wicked He is not getting rid of those whom He could not force to do what He wants.
As a Good administrator, God is incarcerating for life those who have no respect for the rights of anyone except themselves.
Since we do not want to see people locked away for ever and since they would be miserable under these conditions, then a humane death is fair and reasonable.
We want God to do this, sooner rather than later.
Designed Community (The Great Match Maker).
It is possible to live under these limited static rules and never interact with your neighbor except in an emergency.
In addition, we will probably inherit property that is so vast and isolated that we may only have reason to occasionally bump into our neighbors at the mutual property borders.
Therefore, in a perfect society where life and death emergencies do not exist we could live as hermits and isolated clans forever and still obey both the letter and the spirit of the law.
But we know that there is something better.
This is why in the creation we do not see a list of the Ten Commandments because they were initially placed internally so that no one has to teach us these rules.
So the Ten Commandments are not simply the public rules they are our internal, self-driven compass.
"But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days," declares the Lord, "I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Internal Compass. They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them," declares the Lord, "for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
(Jeremiah 31: 33-34)
However, there are other rules that incorporate more personal choice. We must choose love.
So, it was at the creation where we were introduced to some special rules.
Three of these laws were designed to encourage interaction which will foster a sense of family.
- Self (Marriage). We assume that angels never marry or have children because of Jesus' statement (Mark 12: 25).
So marriage and children are a design feature that is not necessary for perfection.
However, in marriage we get to selfishly "own" and be "owned" by another.
When God created Eve out of Adam He essentially created something unique - a genetically identical twin which was of the opposite sex.
God created another self for Adam to love.
We get to have something/someone unique that nobody else has and that nobody else can covet.
I have a copy of me to love.
It is also the only institution where we can enlarge the community and make families out of different communities by permanently combining strangers of opposite genders. God invented marriage.
My Other Me.
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
(Genesis 2: 18, 23-24)
- Family (Submit To Parents).
Through the process of birth and maturity we learn to submit to our elders.
Through learning to honor the elders or those who came before us we are trained to communicate and seek advice.
This command comes in the form of learning to submit and learning to rule kindly.
Adam and Eve were given dominion over the earth. Parents are given dominion over the family. Adam was given dominion over Eve.
Dominion And Submission.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
(Genesis 1: 26-28)
- Community (Sabbath). God encourages the hermits to gather once per week and make friends outside the immediate family.
In this holy period we get to reinforce the relationship with God and others.
In addition we have to all come to one place for worship and live in close quarters in the city called the New Jerusalem.
So God designed a space and time to place everyone in close proximity for an enjoyable feast and good company and potential new friends.
He is the original match maker!
Rest.
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
(Genesis 2: 1-3)
These choices encoded in rules have nothing to do with perfection, but they certainly make life sweeter.
No Boundaries: Love (Other-Driven Compass). Finally, one other law helps to put the joy into these rules and root out the basis of covetousness.
In God's ideal world He says that there is a place where true love removes all fear. Love is God's boundary.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.
(1 John 4: 18)
Amazingly, this one law returns us to the original desire of Satan. It is the only condition under which there are no boundaries.
Agape love has no boundaries because it is bursting at the seams with love.
It concentrates on pouring out love to others, not acquiring love for self.
Since it always seeks the good of others there can be no rules against it. Agape is the law without walls.
Love is the boundary without boundaries!
The Great Commandment.
And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.
(Luke 10: 25-28)
Love is the law that says I will make other people's desires my internal compass.
This is safe because those desires are within the confines of the Golden Rule and the Ten Commandments.
This is the mindset of agape love which will give and keep on giving because its focus is the welfare of others.
Creating The Boundaries (Ten Commandments).
How did God decide the minimum boundaries?
We first notice that they are based on the rights of others.
So the assumption is that one is predisposed to selfishness.
The positive version of the commandments tell us to love God and love neighbour as ones self which practically means treating others the way we want to be treated in a healthy mind.
I presented the commandments in this order because it is apparent by our laws that wealth is an asset that is more valuable than relationships.
- Respecting Property.
The laws of every civilized society still recognizes these physical boundaries which are punishable by criminal courts.
- Steal. All theft is punishable by law by recompensation and loss of liberty.
- Kill.
Stealing the non-refundable property called "life" is a crime.
However, we recognize the right to kill in defense of other people's non-refundable life.
» The Laws Of Gleaning.
In defence of life on this imperfect planet, the property rights given by God makes it a duty to provide for the life of the poor by giving them the right to take certain food without incurring the charge of theft.
- Respecting Agreements And Covenants.
Contracts are designed to transfer assets between willing partners. It requires pure truthfulness to create a fair agreement to acquire "property" that is so valuable to us.
- Lie. Everyone recognizes the necessity of truth in contracts and negotiations. We could not have any system of justice if witnesses lied and if contracts were meaningless.
However, where money is not concerned, people generally lie and flatter to get ahead.
- Adultery. In marriage we gather emotional property and convert it to physical assets. Modern laws no longer recognize covenant relationships or emotional boundaries. However, we create agreements and systems to protect and redistribute physical assets once the relationship is over.
Infractions of these laws are usually handled by civil courts.
- Respecting Authority.
Generally, we have no laws to monitor or punish these infractions.
In fact, it is the despot who plans to rob and subjugate the people who creates laws to respect the government under threat of punishment.
» Leaders In Authority.
Society recognizes parents and the respect due to leaders.
- Respect Parents. Born as centers of self, this is how children learn to value and respect others.
Learning to respect parents or those with more experience is a sign of wisdom and is the gateway to learning to respect God.
» Divine Authority.
This is rejected by the modern western mind.
In societies based on religion, the husband or the clergy is a substitute for God not merely a fount of wisdom that guides you to God.
- One God. It is widsom to acknowledge your Creator and protector.
- Idolatry. It is foolishness to credit your life to those who cannot create you.
- Respect God. It is only common sense to respect the One who keeps you alive.
- Self Boundary. You can avoid disrespecting the boundaries of others if you form a boundary of contentment around yourself and one of respect and appreciation for others.
When you do this, their success will not lead to covetousness or jealousy but genuine joy.
- Covet. This commandment goes to the heart of forming the intent to disrespect boundaries.
This leads to all sin. We convince ourselves to sin when we justify why we deserve what others have or why they deserve it less.
- Sabbath. You will respect others more if you take the time to know them and form a relationship with them. Sabbath gives us the opportunity to get to know others not only as individuals and not superficially, not as another cog in the industrial wheel, but in context as people who are loved by others, loved by God and have value in what they think, dream and produce.
Sabbath makes you extend your self boundary around strangers, the way you extend it around family.
The laws of God are designed to teach us that if we consider the immense importance of the spiritual and emotional boundaries then it is easier to respect the physical boundaries.
The Mishkan Model Of The Ten Commandments.
The incredible Mishkan also models the Ten Commandments.

- North And South Walls.
The walls represent the two dimensions of the commandments.
It takes two boards on each wall to represent one commandment. One wall represents what you should do and the opposite wall represents what you should not do.
On each wall there are two boards because each commandment is supposed to consider two groups.
When we sin it is primarily against God and others.
Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge.
(Psalm 51: 4)
This is why we must reconcile before we bring our offerings to God (Matthew 5: 24) and why we should not use our liberty to create a stumbling block for a weaker brother (1 Corinthians 8).
Moses' two trips up Mount Sinai to retrieve the Commandments also represent how they are being administered in earth's history.
One set was broken and the other unbroken or cannot be broken because there are no laws or boundaries against them.
Law | Do Love | Emotion | Do Not Love | Board |
- | | Duty To God | 1 |
 | Duty To Man | 2 |
Even with the first four commandments there is a duty to others by not misrepresenting God.
In the last six commandments there is also a duty to God (respect, do not steal, kill, lie about God, covet or commit adultery against God.
Satan coveted God's throne, then misrepresented God and then He broke the other commandments - even murdering God.
If we look internally at how sin affects others and how it affects God we will find that sin affects us.
Eventually we will become a moral wreck of a human being because we are slowly dismantling the good structure inside us.
Each sin, each act of adultery, each theft, each lie and each murder diminishes us, diminishes others and wounds God.
For this reason sin is against God on both sides.
However sin is against us on the dominant side because we failed to release love.
Then it is against others on the submissive side because they experience the results of the lack of love.
» God's Strange Act.
In the end, God calls His annihilation of the wicked a "strange act" because this goes against His wish to protect life.
In this act He has to show wrath and vengenace.
Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
(Romans 12: 19 quoting Deueronomy 32: 35)
However, this act does not break the sixth commandment. This law is specifically against murder.
Amazingly, even after the final judgment God waits to execute this punishment. He is extremely reluctant.
The wicked use this time to prepare weapons. It is only when the wicked attack the city that God destroys them.
Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
(Isaiah 28: 16-17, 21)
God's strange act is one of self defence to protect the life of the innocent.
After a fair judgment, God destroys the liars who made a covenant with death before they destroy His people and property.
- Open Space (Emotion).
The only real emotion is "love" and "not love".
Agape love is the emotion or motivation that leads to respecting the law.
Other expressions of emotions are our response to loving a specific target.
Each emotion is tied to a specific sin.
Hate, greed, jealousy, lust and anger are all legitimate emotions aimed at loving in a specific context.
You can lust after your spouse. You can covet the best gifts of God because they are yours.
You can hate the works of Satan and be angry at injustice.
So the emotions are not evil unless they are misdirected to a source that does not deserve it.
» Solid Space (Agape). The space on the first row on the west wall and outside the room is the solid foundation of God's emotions.
- Most Holy Place. These commandments are our duties to God.
- Western Wall.
From the scientific models of the Mishkan, we know that the boards of the western wall define the works of God.
So it is not surprising that they represent the first commandment.
» Two Corner Boards.
These two corner boards are the strength behind the strong force and the objects responsible for the electrical charges that cause the flow of electrons.
They show the flow of agape love and the power of God and symbolize in graphic form that God IS love (1 John 4: 8).
- Sabbath. It straddles the Most Holy Place and the Holy Place. This is appropriate because it is a commandment that involves both man and God.
- Holy Place. These commandments are our duties to others and ourself. If we obey the last commandment then we will respect the rights of others and God.
Satan fell because he began to covet.
- Extra Boards (Half A Commandment). There are not ten and a half commandments. So what is this?
They are the boards at the doorway with five posts and the veil.
I could have concluded that the first row of boards represent love and the other 20 represent the Commandments.
This would not be compatible with the role of the western wall in science and the Sabbath as being a commandment involving God and man.
The Sabbath is a law about time and it is at the other doorway to the Holy Place.
Perhaps this final law is also related to time and to the Outer Court.
The roof material at this door also involves a variation or flexibility in one layer.
There are other sets of laws that are part of the covenant.
These are the ceremonial laws and the curses.
They are related to the events in the outer court and they are temporary.
The fact that they are half a law shows that they are duties to either humans or God.
We do not obey the curses they just happen to us.
So, although we suffer the curses, we do not technically keep or obey these laws.
In the covenant God took the curses on Himself for us. So this represents Christ taking the curses in the form of a human.
It was Christ's duty to submit to these laws. He did so by nailing them to the cross with five holes in His body. Then He tore open the dividing partition represented by this doorway and invited us in. He abolished the curses.
This law is specific to Christ in His human form.
» The Unpardonable Sin (Closing The Heart's Door).
This sin is specifically against God only. God sent two witnesses. Christ washed us with His blood at the altar of Sacrifice.
The Holy Spirit washes us at the laver.
We signify that we accept the work of these two witness by the sign of baptism (laver) and the communion (bread and wine).
Christ will forgive this sin against Him. He suffered the wrath for us and covered us with His blood.
However, this sin cannot be forgiven against the Holy Spirit. He must come in through this doorway to write the Law in our hearts.
Christ tore open this door and let the barriers down, but we can rebuild the partition and block their entry.
When we choose to exclude the Holy Spirit then God has no remedy to come in and clean up our house (mind and heart).
So the curses that fell on Christ will fall on you if you ignore the Holy Spirit.
Rejecting God's Offer.
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
(Hebrews 10: 26-29)
» Tearing Down The Wall.
So the question could legitimately be asked. If this outer door is torn, then what about the second doorway? Is the Sabbath torn or abolished?
By no means, never!
This door can be opened but not torn and discarded. On Sabbath God reveals Himself to us by opening the door to us.
Even in the New Jerusalem we have gates but they are always open. So too we will be technically in a permanent Sabbath relationship with God because we will be living with Him and He is constantly available to us.
Then on the eternal Sabbath the rest of the creation joins in with us so that even under this permanent Sabbath, the actual Sabbath day stands out as a special day.
Disrespecting Boundaries.
The need for boundaries reflects the fact that there are limitations in the design. We are inferior creatures, not God.
So boundaries with negative outcomes are not purposefully designed into the system as punishment or control.
The negative controls define the limitations of our physical and social design.
- Safety. Boundaries secure the best use and safety of the design. We have inherent limitations.
The bars and rails on a crib are not to keep the baby in prison. They make room to play while providing safety.
- My Neighbor. The limitations also reflect the use of the design. We live in a community, not in isolation.
The Ten Commandments are good boundaries, they are not punitive.
- Family. Boundaries are made to mitigate the effects of our limitations.
Since we are not omniscient or omnipresent we have to learn how to interact and communicate.
Family and growing up helps us to navigate the boundaries we must face because others exist.
- Temperance.
While evil wants no boundaries, even good has boundaries. Greed, gluttony and excess are examples of indulging in too much good.
We can readily see the evil of such behavior in conditions like our world, but how is this bad in a perfect society?
The law against covetousness is meant to encourage temperance.
Greed eventually has no bounds because it will never be satisfied.
Joy is experienced not in continuous pleasure but in a series of pleasures in which there is a peak punctuated by a rest period in which we can enjoy the satisfaction and anticipate new experiences.
Like an addiction, gluttony is never satisfied.
- Punitive Boundaries (Curses).
All of God's boundaries are blessings because they help to maintain peace, law and order.
However, there is one type of boundary that came after sin and it was made for punishment and control. These are called the curses.
There is evidence that Satan created these rules because the wages of sin is separation from God in death, not punishment by the curses.
Satan and his rules are the only alternative to separation from God.
The Possible Causes Of Sin.
Now we know why sin began in one who was perfect. He loved himself too much.
However, being narcissists and sociopaths is not how the children of Adam and Eve became slaves of sin.
There may be no single cause that makes it possible for us to continually sin.
Instead, once we were weakened, there are an array of weapons constantly bombarding us so that they can overwhelm us and make us consistently fail.
- Covetousness. The desire for what is not yours will lead to disrespecting boundaries.
- Selfishness. Like Satan we only want our desires, we learned this as helpless babies. As an adult, this selfish covetousness allowed him to ignore rules and cross boundaries acting as if others are there to serve him.
- Control Issues.
Satan's sin began with the desire to be in control.
Horrific crimes that are sexual in nature are rooted in issues of extreme control. Lying and murder were not obstacles to achieving his goal.
The design pictures a moral control center holding together two opposites in harmony like a marriage.
So when the control center goes awry, in that it is neither morally guided nor does not exist, then the outcome is one of the dominant side clashing with the submissive side and a crime of a sexual nature occurs.
- Control Center Issues. An evil control center joins forces with a strong dominant to commit crimes.
- Dominance Issues. A strong dominant does not recognize any control but itself.
- Submission Issues. A submissive without guidance from a moral control center, seeks a dominant.
- Design Flaw (Malfunctioning Nature). We have shown that having rules and regulations and free will is not a design flaw.
Rules and regulations ensure public peace, because not having rules eventually brings chaos and death.
A design without free will only guarantees a planet of robotic machines and a joyless existence.
It is much better to interact with a baby than either a stuffed teddy bear or battery operated toy train.
One eventually tires of the toy but the child is guaranteed to grow in wisdom and more challenging levels of interaction.
Parents get to take this wonderful bundle of selfish desires and train this mind to love and respect others.
Since God is just, and since all the wicked will voluntarily agree with God's judgment, then all who are born should never have a nature that malfunctions to such an extent that they can never understand right and wrong nor have the power to choose correctly.
In addition, God guarantees that more grace will accompany more sin. God has found a way to compensate for the shortfall.
... But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
(Romans 5: 20)
- Satan's Rebellion.
Critics blame God for creating a being who could sin and allowing him to continue.
Satan's internal compass was not broken. He broke it himself by "defiling his sanctuaries".
He changed his internal design by refusing to submit to the rules.
He may have done illegal genetic experiments on himself that caused irreparable frontal lobe and limbic system damage.
Perfect.
Self-Defiled.
Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.
(Ezekiel 28: 15-16, 18-19)
Satan's rebellion shows that it is not imperfection that causes sin even though it could be successfully argued that imperfection makes it easier to sin.
Sin is caused by a deliberate act and a deliberate decision.
Satan decided to sin, knowing the consequences. Now he is dedicated to corrupting the entire universe.
He is probably trying to argue that the fault is not in him, but in the design.
Through the human race God is demonstrating that even clueless, selfish, abandoned and deprived babies can get it right because they learned to love even the unlovely.
So Satan with all his perfection and privileges has no excuse. He hated the source of the purest love.
- An External Battle: Satan's Corrupting Influence.
Although sin comes from within, our real battle is without, not within and not with each other and not with ourselves.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
(Ephesians 6: 12)
Although Satan despises the rule of God, he rules the world with an evil form of the same design.
- Dominance By Force. He likes complete control and he will do it by force. Possession of the conscience by evil spirits is spiritual rape.
God also wants to possess our conscience but he wants to be invited in.
The reason why we have a good nature is so that in the absence of control of our conscience we will know how to choose the one who should take up residence in our minds.
- Submission By Slavery. Satan also believes in forced and brutal submission.
- Submission Through Intimidation. If he does not have full control, he will intimidate and harass.
- Corruption. Satan's intention is to install a totally corrupt or empty conscience in our minds.
- Resist. All of Satan's efforts are aimed at reducing our capacity to resist by affecting the lymbic system.
So sin was not a flaw in the design it was a flaw in the object by his personal misuse of the design.
He "corrupted his sanctuaries". He dismantled his boundaries and crossed them with a band of mutineers.
The state of the world at this moment is proof of God submitting to boundaries.
He did not judge righteously and impose the death sentence as the law allowed. He submitted to a period of evaluation by His creation in which the creation set their boundaries which limited any abuse or undue influence by divine power.
Even God set boundaries for Himself. He will abide by His own laws because He does not want to be lonely.
He will abide by our boundaries because He wants us to feel loved and secure.
- Internal Battle: Genetic Cause Of Sin.
Are there genetic mechanisms that are caused or exploited by Satan?
- Mutation. Viruses can infect and overwrite our genes. Has Satan genetically engineered a sin virus?
- Genetic Weakness. Has the initial damage to our genes made us more susceptible to sin?
- Hormonal Malfunction.
Diet, medication and stress can affect hormonal levels and hormones drive our desires which lead to all our sins.
Are there hormonal systems that can be manipulated by internal malfunctions or external intrusions?
- Infection. They can cause disease in the brain leading to mental illness, lack of fear and illnesses which affect the limbic system and reduce our capacity to resist.
I would argue that these are not causes of sin but methods which can exploit our vulnerability to sin.
Formidable Weapons (Designed To Win Not To Sin).
Given the history and the character of God, it would be unjust and unfair to put us in a situation where we are totally clueless and totally helpless.
So I had to conclude that we could not possibly be designed as a disposable race created for the purpose of settling a dispute in which we were not involved. So, if God is just and righteous then it must be much easier to win than to sin.
Therefore, there must be something in our design and in the Plan of Salvation that gives us enormous advantages without being unfair to the process of judgment.
So let us apply the physical health laws to the spiritual realm.
- A Winning Design. The design shows that we have the greater advantage.
- Conscience. We start with a conscience controlled by God.
- Dominant Nature. The nature that knows good is dominant, so we instinctively know what is right.
- Submissive Nature. This is not an "evil nature". The nature that knows evil is the one that is naturally in submission. Therefore we have a two to one advantage and these two are stronger than this one.
Our problem is that we have to train ourselves and choose the good, starting in childhood. Satan makes sure that we are not diligent in these duties.
- Health Principles: Preventative Measures.
Seventh Day Adventists acknowledge the following physical health principles.
If we take them symbolically, they also apply to our spiritual health.
- Water. The Holy Spirit is symbolized as water that washes away sin. He gives us an internal washing which cleanses our minds.
- Nutrition. Jesus' sacrifice is symbolized as bread and wine which we must eat to live.
- Exercise. God sends us out on a mission to spread the Gospel of peace. Personally, the daily exercise we need for our spiritual health is rigorous Bible study and prayer.
- Fresh Air. The Holy Spirit is symbolized as fresh air because He gives the breath of life.
- Sunshine. Sin is symbolized as darkness
The sun symbolizes the light from God and light is symbolized as the word of God.
- Temperance. We are encouraged to adopt an attitude of contentment and humility which is essentially spiritual temperance.
Gluttony and covetousness caused the envy that ruined Satan.
- Rest. The Sabbath rest symbolizes our rest from sin and filling up on God.
- Trust In God. Faith and trust is the remedy for the just.
Children need to be trained to love God but adults must continue the courtship with God.
- Blood Transfusion (Life Line). We have an intravenous supply of very potent blood. The blood of Jesus Christ saves us in so many ways.
Life.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
(Leviticus 17: 11)
- Gethsemane (Atonement). He reconciled us with God and made peace between heaven and earth.
- Calvary (Ransom). He bought us back from slavery to Satan by giving Satan what he wanted.
- The Lord's Supper (Food For Life). We were dead and He gave us life. His uncorrupted genes can be used to repair our damaged genes in a spiritual transfusion.

- The Weak Become Strong.
The sympathetic nervous system is constantly active to maintain homeostasis (stability) but in an emergency situation, adrenalin triggers the "fight-or-flight" response.
The affected organs provide a short burst of energy that gives strength.
We have a system that provides strength when it is needed. Notice how the response and triggers mimic the conditions at the crucifixion.
With the loss of blood in Gethsemane and the abandonment of the disciples (the "salt of the earth") the system was activated.
Before, the church "seeing, did not see and hearing did not hear", now the eyes of the church are opened, the blood volume is increased (more life),
food intake processing stops (fasting), more air is taken in (Holy Spirit and prayer),
and ejaculation (the seeds of life from the church inside Him).
We "hunger and thirst" after righteousness.
Before the crucifixion the system acted to keep evil in check (homeostasis).
Now we are prophetically in the state where adrenalin has been infused into the church.
God will not relax until the emergency is over and all His seed have come to life.
As the body of Christ, we have super human strength.
- Strength In Weakness. While science has drugs to kill bacteria and other bugs, the technique for killing virus is still different.
There are practically no drugs which kill viruses, the treatment has to work with the body's immune system.
Before an infection begins, the body can learn to identify the infectious agent and build up ammunition (immunity) to fight the disease when it occurs.
This is done by injections of killed or weakened viruses (vaccination).
» Vaccination.
Vaccines work with the adaptive immune system by training the memory cells of immune system with the weakened virus so that the body is prepared for the attack from a strong virus.
Notice that in this system a strong enemy has the power to overwhelm us.
However, a weakened enemy gives us time to allow the body to build up the weapons needed to destroy it.
Grace Is Our Immune Response.
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 5: 20-21)
The more sin attacks, the more God responds with rapid deployment of lethal weapons.
We are part of Christ's body and we are infected with sin. He is capable of defending us because by submitting in weakness at the cross He strengthened the body and learned how to defeat sin.
If we submit to God in our weakness, then God can build a defense for the body. In the process our sinful self dies, but the body lives and is even stronger.
So when we die to sin, the body is saved. The more we strengthen the body, by submitting in weakness, the more likely we will win.
If we approach God in the strength of our sin, we are only damaging the body.
If we do not submit then we will be fighting against our body as a fully active lethal virus.
This system shows that weakness can be an asset. Jesus Christ defeated Satan by submitting in weakness.
The lesson learned is that love overcomes any physical and emotional disadvantages.
- Immune Response.
The immune system can recognize self and non-self through a pattern recognition system.
It is designed like an army where most of our tactics are based on defense measures, but offensive measures are used in evangelism.
- First Line Of Defense: Physical And Chemical Barriers (Church). These defensive measures keep invaders out.
The skin, mucus membrane and cilia, stomach acid, sweat and sebum, tears, saliva and other body fluids act as insurmountable barriers or traps to slow down the invasion forces.
Personal Efforts.
Our first line of defense is the doctrines of the church. Through much sweat, blood and tears, Jesus resisted temptation.
Then at the crucifixion, with saliva spit on Him and sweating blood He saved us.
The High Priest.
Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
(Hebrews 5: 7-8)
Strong Resistance.
Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
(Hebrews 12: 4 KJV)
You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin.
(Hebrews 12: 4 NASB)
We must engage in intense Bible study and prayer so that we can respond to every attack with a "Thus says the Lord".
If we are tempted by internal weakness we know the will of God is expressed in the Ten Commandments.
If we are attacked from outside, we respond with sound doctrine.
We are not alone. We have the resources of the church given through the Holy Spirit.
- Second Line Of Defense (Leukocytes): Defensive Immune Response.
This is a general response that is short term and includes swelling, redness, heat and pain which accompany an infection.
It represents our personal battles.
When we are under attack from evil we must remember what God has taught us in our own trials and the examples that God has given us through the heroes of the faith and through the life and suffering of Jesus Christ.
- Fever (Heat). God allows us to experience fiery trials which help to make us strong and mature.
- Redness. This is caused by blood pooling in the infected area. In all cases, the grace of God given through the blood of Jesus Christ is the remedy for all sin.
- Pain. It is an indication that there is a problem. Our salvation came at the cost of a great sacrifice. When we remember this pain and suffering we are less likely to cause God more pain.
- Inflammation. Swelling isolates the infected area. Many white blood cells migrate to the site of an infection in response to inflammation.
More blood and more nutrients and more resources are poured into the area.
We are not alone. More prayer, more intercession, more intervention, more response by the church is needed in a time of crisis.
When a group of intercessors gather in prayer or leaders gather around a sinner to plead with them then this is the inflammatory response.
- White Blood Cells. These protect the body in several ways by directly confronting the source of infection.
Interferon, triggered by pathogens, allow for communication between cells to trigger the protective defense of the immune system.
Phagocytes ingest harmful substances and dead cells.
Monocytes are attracted to a damaged site.
Eosinophils fight viruses and parasites.
Basophils produce histamine, promote blood flow and prevent clotting.
This is the function of the leadership of the church.
Church.
The church is the second line of defense because they teach and guide us and hold us accountable. The leaders of the church must be diligent in removing members who corrupt the church and confronting members about sin.
These days there is a whole lot of selling books and religious paraphernalia and collecting offerings but there is barely any guidance and nobody holds anyone accountable unless it is a big news scandal that threatens the offerings.
We use the excuse that such action is judgmental and "none of our business".
Take your lumps. Make it your business and judge the unrighteousness running amok in the church.
Do Not Judge Those Outside The Church.
I wrote you in a letter not to associate with immoral people. I did not at all mean immoral people of the world ...
Judge Those In The Church. But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler, not even to eat with such a one.
For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those that are in the church? But those who are outside God judges.
Remove The Cancer. Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.
(1 Corinthians 5: 9-13)
- Third Line Of Defense (Lymphocytes): Long Term Offensive Immune Response.
This is a specific response that provides long-term protection. Lymphocytes look for tumors and invading pathogens.
- T-Cell. They are produced in the bone marrow and mature in the thymus. They are the generals of the immune army, producing antibodies and memory cells that recognize pathogens and kill infected cells.
- Natural Killer Cell. They can detect tumors and viral infected cells from normal uninfected cells.
- B-Cell. They are produced in the bone marrow. They attack infected cells and make antibodies.
Holy Spirit.
It is the Holy Spirit who convinces us about sin and gives us discernment so that we can recognize a potential problem.
God's actions are offensive. He tears down strongholds. He assists us in evangelism and He returns with an army to defeat the forces of evil.
The front line of the battle is against the avenues of temptation.
So the response to sin is not simply a personal one.
It takes the combined effort of parents, the family and the entire church to guard against sin so that we lessen its impact on the church.
It is inviting defeat to simply launch a personal battle when our efforts are continually undermined by television, the schools and church leaders and members who lure us into sin by their criminal behavior, example and teachings.
- Transport. There are two systems for transporting these cellular weapons.
If Jesus Christ is the body and we are the cells that make His body then they represent the dual efforts being carried out in the natural and the supernatural worlds.
- Circulatory System (Human). It carries nutrients and oxygen to the cells and waste from the cells.
Oxygenated blood from the lungs is pumped out of the heart to the rest of the body. This is the dominant system.
Deoxygenated blood circulates back to the heart where it is sent to the lungs.
If the heart pump did not flow one way or the receptors in the lungs and in the blood did not recognize the difference between oxygen and carbon dioxide we would suffocate.
Christ became the one Human who removes the waste of sin and gives us the Holy Spirit.
We are living in the fulfillment of the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).
God is actively removing sin and cleansing the sanctuary through His High Priest - Jesus Christ.
These are the messages we share when we carry the Gospel ("good news").
- Lymphatic System (Divine). They carry excess fluid left behind by the circulatory system between the cells in one direction only - towards the heart. There it is returned to the blood.
It also transports fats, white blood cells and cells which generate an immune response from the T-Cells.
- Bone. The bone marrow produces three types of blood cells.
All of them mimic the function of Jesus Christ as they are described by the Bible.
- Red Blood Cells (Erythrocytes). They transport oxygen and nutrients, remove waste and maintain body temperature. Jesus came to give us life by giving His blood.
These symbols and duties are left with us.
- Nutrients. The bread and wine for communion services.
- Oxygen. The Holy Spirit gives us life symbolized by the breath (air) and prayer.
- Washing. The Holy Spirit washes us clean symbolized by baptism.
- White Blood Cells (Leukocytes). They defend the body against infection. Jesus came to conquer Satan, the source of the sin infection.
- Platelets (Thrombocytes). They cause wound healing and blood clotting to prevent bleeding to death.
Jesus came to bring healing and reconciliation and life.
» The Righteous Nation (12 Tribes And 12 Ribs).
A nation is symbolized by the rib bone.
A rib bone was used to make Eve, the mother of all nations (Genesis 2: 21-23) and the prophecy of Daniel uses three rib bones to symbolize three nations (Daniel 7: 5).
The design of the high priest's garment and the prophecies about the twelve tribes shows a remarkable fact.
Our rib cage is designed to reflect our future configuration in the new earth. This means that we were designed to win.
Our physical structure reflects our future glory.
- Help To Win (Holy Spirit).
We win by simply doing what the unfallen universe did not do. We must trust in the goodness of God no matter what.
Trusting in God means that we agree to the Holy Spirit taking control over our conscience.
If you are willing to love and trust God then sin cannot conquer you.
It does not matter what is damaged or coded in your genes.
The moment you make the decision to put the Holy Spirit in the driver's seat then you will have the power to resist, to hate sin and to love righteousness.
The Art Of Temptation (The Tactics Of Evil).
So, if the desire to sin is not genetic and not based on a flaw and if we were designed to win, and we have so many advantages, then what causes us to submit to sin?
Based on the history of sin, our design and the character of God our problem is not with sin as an uncontrollable desire which will always overwhelm us.
The problem is that some evil force is taking advantage of our weakened state to launch an assault on us.
We have a problem resisting temptation.
The Battle With Temptation.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
God Does Not Tempt. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
Ensnared By Our Desires. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Submission Is Sin. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
(James 1: 12-15)
So the problem is with temptation, not with a defect in the gene that makes choice impossible.
Our battles are internal and external.
Internally, our two natures can be tempted by an external attraction. If we are attracted to it then that is lust.
The Spirit lusts after righteousness and the flesh lusts after pleasure.
If we do not submit the temptation to the law of the conscience, then our lust can lead to sin.
In the Lord's prayer Jesus does not address sin, He asked for help with temptation so that we do not fall victim to evil.
The Pitfalls Of Temptation.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
(Matthew 6: 13)
Since temptation is the enemy, Satan has created an environment designed to trap us into sin by constantly bombarding us with temptations and training our minds to accept corruption.
The personality and the workings of the mind are relevant for understanding why we sin.
Since sin is about temptation, a faster route to defeat would be to attack us though our psychological weaknesses and preferred behavior.
If this strategic attack is paired with a dysfunctional mind the blitz attack will easily succeed.
- Social (Love Of The World).
The world is on a mission to normalize evil and rebellion.
Satan has written the page from the Charles Manson playbook - sex, drugs, rock and roll and a father figure of his choice to guide you.
The message is that there is no right or wrong only "truth". This is what the world offers as "tolerance" and "love".
Our modern gurus may not be the scary, wild-eyed, homicidal maniacs of helter-skelter but genocide is their business. Their influence leads to death.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
(1 John 2: 15-16)
- Lust Of The Flesh (Physical Temptation).
The advertising industry puts sex into everything, whether they are selling toothpaste or adult diapers there must be a scantily clad female with her lips pursed, breast pushed up and rear stuck out.
Sadly, even when professional women are on television, a necessary dress requirement is a slit skirt revealing half the thigh and subtle sexualized behavior.
It is called "looking your best" and "looking hot". It is nothing but cheap exploitation of the female body.
We may have stampeded the corporate offices since the 1960's but we are still viewed as whores.
So unbelieve everything you have ever been taught and strip down to a blank mind.
- Pornography. By 2012 it was a $100 billion worldwide business with $13 billion in Southern California alone.
Females are the "stars" of these productions with males as the props. The entertainment industry sees these as a legitimate business with "actresses" who are proud of their "careers". Consequently, pornography has gone mainstream, leaving their stench all across the internet.
- News. Serious subjects like the news have not been untouched. The cast of anchors and support staff is increasingly becoming a roll call of female flesh with men as the props.
It is now all about youth, fashion, tight dresses, good looks and celebrity bad behavior.
Consequently, a one hour news cast is about 30% ads, 60% entertainment and 10% news.
- Addictions. Caffeine, cigarettes, nicotine, steroids, heroin, cocaine, drugs, alcohol and prescription medications seem to be a right of passage. Current parental guidance seems to suggest that children have the right to make their own mistakes. So some parents introduce their children to these vices under the mistaken notion that they are controlling these behaviors by hosting them in a controlled environment.
Even serial killers are addicted to murder, deriving pleasure from the act and some even suffering withdrawal symptoms between kills.
All I can say is that the church ought to be ashamed of themselves because evil works much harder to promote their causes.
I have pledged not to enter heaven knowing that someone who prostitutes herself by choice works much harder for her god than I did.
- Lust Of The Eyes (Marketing Temptation).
The entertainment industry is the primary source for selling the products of sin.
They make sin interesting, entertaining and the standard to which "normal" people should strive.
They go one step further to ridicule and vilify what is good.
- Soap Operas And Television. Soap operas trained us to accept lying, adultery and fornication.
When actresses craved the "bad girl" roles, it also established the precedent that bad girls are interesting, desirable, beautiful and only they have fun.
Good girls are boring, undesirable and unhappy.
- Prosperity Ministries. They are the religious version of appealing to our lusts. They go one step further and market it as fruits of our faith in God.
- Making Evil Attractive. The spokespersons are our modern gods. They are basically all amoral and immoral standards which we worship.
Since our ideal is money, popularity, sex and power we tend to look at rich athletes, beautiful actors and powerful politicians and business men as the new apostles and role models.
Sadly, when these gods like priests, Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong fail us we lash out in hypocrisy.
These are men, not gods and they are bound to fail.
We should examine why we make them our role models and resist God whose character is infinitely admirable.
- Immersed In The Popular Culture. Cartoons, books, games, internet, music and movies all sell the same products - lust, greed and no God who will judge,
- Pride Of Life.
The world thinks certain things are important - beauty, money, cars, power, jewelry, status, big house, fame, fortune and popularity.
Unfortunately, God lost the popularity contest.
- Power.
The rich find power through money and influence.
Everyone else finds power through dominating the weak, usually women, children and animals
- Competition. Our covetousness puts us on a never-ending cycle of keeping up with the Joneses.
- Possessions. The key to having the most envied outward appearance is to acquire the most and the expensive and the rarest possessions.
- Money. It has the ability to buy any of these other assets, except love.
- Peer Pressure. Even if your real friends do not influence your behavior, the popular culture acts as this giant presence that tells you what is good and proper and popular if you want to succeed.
- A Pantheon Of Demi-Gods And Messages.
Scientists, the medical profession, prosperous businessmen, preachers, media personnel, philosophers, gurus, movie stars, sports heros and politicians all promote this agenda.
The obvious message is that the brightest, richest and most popular are the best guides.
So we should trust their guidance and insight and follow their example.
The entire society is based on marketing pleasure.
The three categories of temptation are sold through many messengers and media.
Unfortunately we sell ourselves into debt to keep this financial monster moving so that we can chase Satan's dreams.
- Love Of Money.
In the world money is the sign of success, the credentials that give you the right and the opportunity to say "do as I do if you want what I have". Even in the church, money has become the de facto measure of God's approval.
Money provides access to all the lusts. With it you can buy all the trinkets that will make you the envy of the world.
You can buy power or influence those in power. You can break your enemies, get the youngest and the best looking companion, buy servants, play and party day and night and buy all the gorgeous flesh on display.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
(1 Timothy 6: 10)
- Education.
With the backing of science, the popular culture promises us freedom from God and solutions to any problems.
The truth is that we have become more enslaved by sin and its ideas.
We believe that we cannot change. Worse, we believe that we should not change. "I'm ok, you're ok" is the philosophy.
- Science (Centers Of Evolution). The commercial successes of science gives it the right to claim knowledge about our origins.
- Religion (Centers Of Atheism). Religious departments and scholars see determined to replace God with self-help philosophers.
- Sex (Centers Of Promiscuity). We thought that the "Spring Break" ritual of sex drugs and alcohol could not be worse.
Now school administrators are sponsoring and hosting pornography.
In the name of "academic freedom", the administrators of Yale University hosts "Sex Week".
First held in 2002, then in 2012 was organized by a board of directors for the first time and in 2008 they started releasing a magazine to other universities.
The event invites pornography and sex toy companies, porn stars, lectureres on sado-machism-dominatrix and screening of XXX pornography.
Is this what education has become?
These ivy league schools have been the primary source of Darwinism. Distributing darkness, they are becoming darkness.
Truly God is right. They are empty of anything good and useful. They are cesspools of filth waiting to be filled with more degredation.
Empty. These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
Pompous. For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
Slave Drivers. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
Disgusting Dogs And Filthy Pigs. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
(2 Peter 2: 17-19, 22)
Our current educational system is the cesspool of Satanic propaganda. Public television and public agencies are becoming the state-sponsored messengers of atheism.
» Hollywood.
The exact same analysis and indictment could be made of the entertainment industry.
- Religious (Enmity With God).
One way to promote love of the world is to remove the competition.
Satan was not content with making the world attractive, he is making religion revolting at best or at least burdensome.
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
(John 15: 19)
- Erasing Good From Society.
The malevolence against God is so vindictive that they are erasing any connection to any religious concept from the common dialogue.
While other religions are treated with greater respect, Christianity is the main target of this personal attack.
Common religious words are missing from dictionaries, spell check programs and language translation programs.
Calendars have been slowly changed to replace the seventh day with the first.
- Contemptuous Labels. It is extremely fashionable to make pejorative statements about the church.
- Good Is Unappealing. The Christian lifestyle is called boring and oppressive.
- Good Is Repulsive And Revolting. The position of the conservative church on moral issues is being condemned as hate.
- Good Is Irrelevant. Now that religious values are marginalized, secularists are hoping to make it irrelevant so that it will vanish.
- Good Is Unattainable. The church is guilty of promoting immorality by ignoring the Ten Commandments.
The wicked are only too happy to claim that moral values are impossible to achieve. Abstinence is ridiculed. Virginity is laughed at as ridiculous and unappealing and sick.
- Good Is Ignorant. Scientists pounce on our belief in a seven day creation 6000 years ago as idiotic. One even called it child abuse.
Religion departments are trying to make the Bible stories myth as they appease the ridiculous theories of science.
- Guilt Is Wrong.
Modern psychology encourages us not to feel bad about doing bad because we should not make people feel guilty.
God requires us to be sorry about our sin. It is the natural reaction of those who know they have done wrong and are aware of its effects and so intend to not repeat their actions.
We should not feel remorseful because of the consequences to us but because of the consequence to others. Then we need to forgive ourselves, but not feeling remorse is unnatural.
However, starting in September, they will sell "The holidays" to reap a fortune while removing Christ from Xmas.
- Corporate Degredation Of Humanity.
If the market drives the demand, then why would a corporation promote all the decadence of the criminal minority?
Ideas for the popular culture come out of prison, violence, drugs and exploitation.
We are told what should be popular, then corporations make sure that the distribution centers only provide what they want to sell.
- Clothes.
Christian girls find it impossible to get clothes that are not tight, short and revealing.
The baggy pants, drop-down crotch fashion for young men is modeled after prison rape and prostitution.
It is supposed to signal, "I am ready for sex". Not even a God-hating, sensual-loving parent or human being would think of idolizing the worst behavior of the most brutal in our society.
Whose idea is this?
Humans are the apple of God's eyes. The love of His life.
The curse tells us how low Satan wants to reduce humanity through the tactic of the siege.
Assyrian Siege.
But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
(2 Kings 18: 27)
Cannibalism.
So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
(Deuteronomy 28: 55)
So Satan wants to reduce us to the status of dung-eating, piss-drinking cannibals by strangling us with a siege so relentless that we are reduced to non-human behavior.
- Music. Even in church, contemporary Christian music has co-opted the filth of secular music.
Instead of luring the world to Jesus through uplifting sacred music, the evil church music is luring the youth away from God towards sensuality.
The punishments of Revelation 16-18 are reserved for a decadent government and church and corporate businesses.
This is because they have the machinery which corrupted the earth by selling newer versions of Satan's filth for money. They are also the ones who enforce the economic sanctions of the final persecution.
- Increasing The Cares Of Life.
Even if you wanted to manage your family according to the will of God, society makes it impossible to do so.
Satan's strategy is to occupy us with the difficulties of living.
Bystanders.
Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Living Without Foundations.
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
Living Among The Thorns.
And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
(Luke 8: 12-14)
- Working Families. The modern family now needs two incomes to make a decent living and to keep their families out of the open violence and drug problems of poor neighborhoods.
The cost of living expenses makes it impossible for the overwhelming majority of families to survive on one income.
- Family Time - God's Time. Family time is shortened because both parents have to work.
Daily worship also suffers because mothers are not home, day care centers are not concerned with religion and television and the computer are the most influential family members in the modern home.
These devices are the teachers and baby sitters who are nurturing our children in those critical years of training and imprinting.
- Sabbath. The laws of the European Union are encroaching on the Sabbath. Employees are only legally required to give Sunday off as a day of rest.
There is a movement to prevent employers from accommodating the needs of their employees by giving any other day of rest.
Whose spirit is this? If a business wants to give workers Saturday off if they request it how does this hurt?
In Germany all children are required to go to school on Sabbath, only Sunday is allowed off.
No matter what the church does to go along with the government they are still violating the Sabbath.
- Sleep Deprivation. A combination of extended work hours and more activities for play leave us with less time for rest. Our forced life style leads to lack of rest. In this situation our higher order mental capacity is compromised.
It means that with just two hours of missed sleep we lack discernment, judgment and problems solving skills. We are less interested in foreward thinking activities like religion and are less likely to understand when taught.
- Mobile Society (No Ground Support). Families are scattered. The nuclear family meets for Thanksgiving just to quarrel. We have no roots or anchor and social networking exacerbates the problem.
- Spectators In Life. We have learned to get involved only if it is salacious gossip or profitable for me.
We basically approach real life like a competitive game, not as participants but as spectators and gamblers. The current glut of "reality" television only reinforces this point of view.
It says that life is a bloody gladiator sport and there is nothing wrong with blood and guts, only glory will be rewarded.
- Increasing The Pleasures Of Life. Pursuit of these interests compete with church time.
- Sports. It competes with family and worship time in the evenings and weekends. If you are not interested in church or want to see how acceptable people live build your whole week in anticipation of gathering at the sports bar on the weekends.
- Entertainment. From cradle to grave with over 900 channels we have a hornet's nest of shows and reruns of any entertainment productions made in the past sixty years or more.
- News. As advertisers seek to capture certain demographics even the news is mostly entertainment or marketing.
With the top three ghastly national stories out of the way, news now tends to be a report on the antics and projects of the rich and famous.
From the news we learn what is trendy and what is not and the color of the new power tie and that science disproves religious myth.
- Methods: Assaulting The Brain.
The assaults are meant to dethrone the Holy Spirit from our conscience and install an alternate source of authority.
"Science" seems to be the replacement authority and the designated social god of the times.
In the battle to choose our God, we must actively make the choice.
Both sides are vying for our votes and our minds were designed to respond to these choices.
Satan's tactic is to overwhelm our senses with sights, sounds, smells and images that affect the hormonal system.
- Physical-Mental (Hormonal System).
Satan has chosen the reward and pleasure path to addictions because the design of the body responds to these influences.
No stone has been left unturned in his efforts to access the reward and pleasure centers in our brains. We are assaulted on every front.
Stimulants, loud noises, food, sugar, genetically engineered proteins like gliadin in wheat all affect the areas of our brain that control our desires and increase stress.
When these are combined with drugs and alcohol it is a recipe for uninhibited behavior.
- Wine Of Babylon (Confusion).
We have a smorgasbord of evil choices from which you can construct any personal philosophy of life.
Conspicuously absent is a respect for the laws of God and those who want to live by them.
God calls it wine because it makes us drunk and irrational.
- Blurring The Distinctions (Potluck Chicken Soup Religion).
Modern etiquette says it is hate to try to change other people's ideas even if it is voluntary because everybody is right except the stupid and hateful religious conservatives.
The idea of "non-denominational", uniting on "common points" and discarding everything else as irrelevant or living by your own rules creates a society built on the idea that rejects the norms of God as absolute and binding.
- Science And Atheism.
The influence of scientists is the greatest threat to God in this generation.
They are almost all atheists and even among those who are not, the majority believe that the record of the Bible on our origins is a myth.
We are being assaulted by the so-called "logic and reasoning" of science.
Evolution theory and terminology permeates everything.
The use of the words "adapted" and "evolved" permeates every area of life so that we are being trained to accept these concepts.
After 2005/6 Wikipedia started changing all its articles to include an evolutionary reason.
- Gateway Activities.
There are many things that introduce us to the paths of temptation.
Many seem innocent and are innocent. Eventually, evil themes are introduced in a fun and non-threatening way.
They become Satan's tools because they introduce us to evil methods while ignoring God.
- Cartoons. They introduce us to violence, the occult and foreign gods.
- Violent Games. The next phase is to introduce them to sex and violence through videogames.
- Tween Idols. These idols who pretend to be wholesome children are transformed into wild, sex, drug and alcohol models for our children who grew up with them.
- Card Games. Gambling is the goal. Professional gambling is now as acceptable as playing soccer with big winners achieving star status.
- Legal Drugs. Alcohol, caffeine, prescription medication and legalized marijuana
- Ungodly Ideas. Children's authors and popular personalities mesmerize our children with fantasy worlds that are alien to godly living.
- The Plan To Corrupt Our Children.
How we are raising our children has serious consequences for subsequent good and moral decisions.
When we combine these subtle psychological effects with their drug and alcohol socialization it is strategy designed to keep them in sin.
- Autism.
It is a strange illness that has suddenly plagued us in the past thirty years.
Is it caused by GMO food products, pollution, high sugar diet, artificial vitamins or changes in child care.
Yesterday I read a study which says that the autistic is disproportionately more atheist. The reason may be because they cannot get in touch with their feelings.
So is it caused when children miss a critical imprinting stage?
Are children being exposed to too much television, too much stimulation, too many strangers and too little mom and dad.
Is their fractured nurturing creating the equivalent bonding malfunction as promiscuity in adults?
Has Satan implemented a method which negatively affects our desire for God?
From cradle to adulthood Satan makes sure that he trains, nurtures and breastfeeds our children.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
(Proverbs 22: 6)
It is interesting that Satan has taken instructions from the Bible and follows them carefully to obtain his own goals.
This does not mean that if there is no temptation, there will be no sin. Satan sinned.
He was perfect and he was not tempted.
However, in our weakened state Satan does everything he can to push or drag us over the edge.
These assaults are strategically targeted on the centers of our brain that control desires.
Manufacturing A Lethal Weapon (The Antidote To Sin).
The evidence is clear. The human race was created by an omniscient God after Satan rebelled.
Adam and Eve were ensnared in this drama that began before them and they fell victim to it through their own bad choices.
You and I are victims without voting. The choice has been made for us.
- Collateral Damage.
Being omniscient, God knew that we would sin and millions of lives would be lost.
Since we were not involved in the initial rebellion, why did God not wait until He had stopped the rebellion before we were created?
Knowing that we are essentially victims, a fair and good and wise and merciful God must have had an interesting plan.
The conclusion must be that we were created as a solution to the problem.
This evidence is discussed in another lesson.
In this lesson we are addressing the fairness of the decision.
Were we created to be helpless victims or are we more powerful than we could ever dream?
- Unleashing A Dangerous Lunatic.
According to God's own testimony about Himself, He does not tempt people or work with evil.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
(James 1: 13)
But let him that boasts, boast in this: that he knows and understands Me; that I AM the Lord who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness upon the earth, for in these things do I delight.
(Jeremiah 9: 24)
- Negligent Owner.
God even indicts Himself with the following law if He is guilty of unleashing a dangerous predator.
The Killer Ox. If an ox gores a man or a woman to death, the ox shall surely be stoned and its flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall go unpunished.
Habitually Dangerous. If, however, an ox was previously in the habit of goring and the owner has been warned, yet he does not confine it and it kills a man or a woman, the ox shall be stoned and its owner also shall be put to death.
(Exodus 21: 28-29)
So even if God could be indicted under these charges, He already paid the penalty. Jesus Christ was executed and Satan will be stoned.
However, based on God's character we know that He would not be negligent whether or not Satan had been dangerous or God knew that He would be dangerous.
So the initial premise must be false. It was not God who was negligent.
God knew that Satan was dangerous and God warned the principalities and powers of heaven. God wanted Satan confined, yet these powers let Satan loose to spread his philosophy.
He killed Adam and Eve.
His actions caused their death because he deliberately made them sin. God is the opposite.
So a dangerous sociopath was unleashed on the universe and God confined him as the law required.
But he was imprisoned in the abyss where earth would be created. Consequently, only the earth fell.
If God confined Satan to the earth, it must mean that we are not as helpless as it seems, otherwise, God would be more guilty of negligence.
So we may be more dangerous to Satan than he is to us.
Satan got his wishes - an unbiased people to mold in his image, but he will regret the day he came to earth.
- Vessels Of Wrath (A Disposable Race?).
Can we complain to God? Does He have a right to create us and place us in this predicament?
A Complaint Against God.
Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
(Romans 9: 20-21)
Raw Material | God Calls | We Respond | God's Action | Future |
Wax | Softens | Righteousness | Instruction | Strong Support | Honor (Reshaped) |
Vessel | |
Obedience or Rebellion |
Mercy |
Holy Spirit | Judgment |
Wax | Hardens | Wickedness | Warning | Show Of Power | Wrath (Shatters) |
Can God condemn and punish us if we have no control and he makes us the way we are?
Unfair.
Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
(Romans 9: 19)
Romans 9 is interesting because it seems to suggest that God created some people whom He will love and some who will be disposable just to show His power.
The righteous argument can be understood from the perspective of the use of the power of God.
Since God can see the present, past and future, all time is the same.
Since He has all power he should be able to subdue the wicked.
So how does God use this advantage in His favor without compromising the process of fair judgment?
- The Call To Repentance. Our analysis shows that the problem is not with God's actions but our response. God calls but we have two different responses.
- Vessels Of Honor. They submit and obey. Continual submission softens them.
- Vessels Of Wrath. They refuse to obey. Continual disobedience leaves them hardened.
Everyone is called to be righteous, to obey the Ten Commandments and to obey God.
We must obey the commandments at all times - even to the point of death, not when it is convenient.
- The Will And Choice Of God.
Our illustration shows that God has the same response to all but we have different responses to God's outreach.
By their choice, not God's design or control, the clay are transformed into different kinds of vessels.
By God's foreknowledge and power He uses their choice to His advantage while preserving their free will.
- Vessels Of Honor. They respond to mercy by accepting instruction. Their response to the Holy Spirit means that God will show His power through strong positive support.
- Vessels Of Wrath. They respond to mercy by rebellion and God sends them warning.
- The Power Of God (Omnipotence).
God does not immediately smite the wicked even though they deserve immediate destruction.
Instead He delays their just punishment and patiently endures them so that He can demonstrate His patient mercy, their obstinate rebellion and His right to final justice.
.
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
(Romans 9: 22)
- Vessels Of Honor. They will be rewarded.
- Vessels Of Wrath. They became vessels of wrath, they were not made to fail. So because failure was their choice they are reserved for destruction.
God's patient waiting shows that no matter what He does, they will not respond.
Therefore, whether He woos, appeases, frightens, ignores or spoils them, no display of absolute love or absolute anger or anything in between moves them to repentance.
This is not because God made them unrepentant, it is because they have chosen to live life only on their terms.
- The Power To See The Future (Omniscience).
God uses His knowledge of the future to His advantage.
Since people will respond differently, the election of God cannot be made by tradition or birthright as the inheritance traditions allowed.
He does not make the choice by who works for it because our diligence could be based on selfishness.
The election must be made by God's choice and this choice is based on the righteousness of the individual or the one who deserves it.
So God's unilateral law gives Him the right to make this logical and sensible decision.
God's Choice.
What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
(Romans 9: 14-15)
- Vessel Of Honor (Jacob) And Vessel Of Wrath (Esau). So by tradition Esau was the first born and should get the Messianic birthright and the inheritance.
However, looking into the future of these children who were not born and who had not yet sinned God chose the younger because the older would despise his
spiritual inheritance and was not fit to carry the seed of God.
- Vessel Of Wrath (Pharaoh) .
God could have delivered Israel at any time but He waited for the right man through whom He could demonstrate His power.
Pharaoh's life choices had made him the arrogant cesspool of a man that he was.
God used this pride to not only demonstrate His power but to show that the wicked will never repent no matter how much evidence is given to them or how much God threatens them,
or how much the threat is carried out and how much public misery their decisions are causing.
Through pride one man will hold to his arrogance no matter how many people suffer.
No demonstration from God or no pity for the impact his decisions make on his fellow human beings will influence him.
To the arrogant, winning means not ever submitting, no matter the cost.
To Jesus Christ, winning meant submitting quickly, no matter the cost.
- Weak And Defenseless?
We may not be as helpless as we seem.
There is one example which shows that God intends to defeat Satan using all the unfair advantages that Satan has acquired for himself.
Jesus Christ was weak and defenseless, but this was the position in which God placed Him so that He could defeat Satan!
- Trapped In Someone Else's Fight.
We were born after Adam and Eve chose to sin and we inherited their punishment.
- Burdened With Sin. We did not 'inherit' their perfection, but their weakness.
- Abandoned. The universe abandoned us to the rule of Satan.
- Alone And Scorned As Lepers. We were separated and quarantined from the unfallen universe.
- Weak And Helpless. Sin made us weak physically and morally.
- Bruised And Battered. Our DNA is broken, damaged and mutated.
- Physically And Emotionally Exhausted. Our hormonal system is skewed towards slavery to sin.
- Mocked And Ridiculed. Satan constantly "bad-mouthed" us before God.
- Undervalued. We are not conscious of our value to God. Though destined to rule with Jesus, we behave as if we are children of the slave woman.
- Written Off And Given Up For Dead. Death stalks the earth.
- Everyone Enjoying Our Failure. Satan and his horde do all they can to make us fail.
- Unjustly Punished. We were punished when Adam, Eve and Satan sinned even though we did not exist.
- By Any Measure A Total Failure. We seem doomed to continually fall to temptation.
- Victorious! Under all these handicaps Jesus was victorious at the cross. We can defeat Satan with these same disadvantages.
In looking at what might be God's plan, one gets the feeling that God will make Satan's defeat as humiliating as ever by agreeing to every advantage that Satan asked for himself.
Under these circumstances the human race must have great advantage in the seemingly useless inheritance that God has given us.
It is as if we are MacGyver, badly wounded, trapped by our enemy with ten minutes before annihilation and all we have at our disposal is duct tape, a paper clip and string.
According to Zechariah, God has given us a candle, a bowl, a pipe and an olive tree branch to level a mountain.
Weapons.
And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
Empire Builders.
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
(Zechariah 4: 2-3, 6-7)
It is with the Holy Spirit, mercy, the word of God, the crucifixion on a tree and a spring of water and oil that we will bring down the house of Satan.
Satan underestimated Jesus at the cross and he dismisses us as irrelevant pawns. Perhaps we are also underestimating the power that God gave us.
- Creating A Lethal Weapon.
So we are not disposable. God cares. God has not abandoned us.
Yet why us?
The only rational explanation is that we were created to solve the problem!
The Plan seems like a failure but it is actually working.
Look at this prophecy to Satan.
Deadly Strangers.
Behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the terrible of the nations: and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness.
They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas.
Unmask The False God.
Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee.
Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.
(Ezekiel 28: 7-10)
We are the strangers, the "terrible nation" who were still in the planning phases who will destroy Satan.
We are the ones who will laugh at his claim to be god.
He is terrible just like us because he made us terrible.
The last act of terror that we will do is to terrorize him.
- Field Testing The New Design (The Grass Is Always Greener ...).
Satan trespassed beyond his boundaries because he resented the new race and their creator.
An Important Race.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
(Psalm 8: 4-6)
The phrase "made him a little lower than the angels" could also be translated "made him lower than the angels for a little [while]"
When the words "Son of Man" is applied to Jesus the alternate meaning is certainly confirmed by His life and mission.
As God, He was incarnated as a man for 33.5 years and 9 months and was certainly made lower than the angels for a little while.
What if the original destiny of man was also to be a little higher than the angels?
Suppose our planned creation stirred the jealousy of Satan?
This can explain his hatred of Jesus and humans and it can explain his belief that he could become God.
He suddenly saw two instances where he saw creatures whom he thought were equal or lower would escalate to a higher position.
- Jesus Is God. Jesus might have been disguised as the second covering cherub, just as He disguised Himself as a human. Then Satan learned that Jesus was God.
- Humans Destined To Be Above Angels. Human beings might one day take or share his job as covering cherubs.
So the planned design of humans was carried out and the Plan of Salvation will restore us to this noble design - kings and priests who reign with God.
So we were not created as disposable foils, but according to plan.
We get to choose if we want this destiny and in the process become witnesses for or against God or Satan.
The design is so good that God has been saying for 6000 years that we can all be victorious even in this weakened form if we would only obey Him.
- Children Called To Service. Whether we sinned or not, we would make excellent witnesses because we are the only creatures who could be impartial.
We were immediately called to service before we knew too much of the issues and could take sides.
So Satan was sent to the earth while Adam and Eve were still very young and naive.
- Slaves On An Exodus.
We have a slave mentality. Israel left Egypt under powerful circumstances, yet the lure of cruel Egypt never left Israel. They complained the entire way even under the presence of the most spectacular evidence.
We are the same. Defeated by sin in the presence of a mighty force for us, because we are more afraid of the devil than the power of God.
- Over Eight Billion Witnesses And Counting ....
Only two witnesses are needed to confirm a charge and to bring the death penalty.
God will have billions of witnesses in His favor.
At the judgment there will be no witnesses against Him.
Since even the wicked will acknowledge the righteousness of God, then every human being who ever lived will be a witness for God and against Satan.
Guilty Verdict.
One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.
(Deuteronomy 19: 15)
Death Penalty.
At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.
(Deuteronomy 17: 6)
Satan has been sentenced to death. We are trying to smuggle a weapon in to free him from jail.
The Remedy: Restoring The Image Of God.
Nothing genetic can defeat us because we were designed to conquer.
It takes a syndicate of wicked angelic powers locked in a conspiracy to defeat humanity to formulate and execute plans designed to help us to defeat ourselves.
The goal of the Plan of Salvation of God is to restore everything we lost at Eden. In this plan God is showing us the way back to Him through detailed written instructions and signs.
All the signs and promises were given at the creation and Jesus fulfilled all these signs at the crucifixion when He restored us to God.
- The Will Of God.
Sin is not only doing bad but it is not doing good.
When we reflect the image of God it will be mostly about doing good.
The details of God's will are to be written within us so that nobody has to teach us.
There are two parts to recognizing the will of God.
We must know what to do and what to avoid. Responsible freedom has boundaries.
- Knowing Good (Thou Shalt Nature). Ideally, this is the dominant nature that is driven by the principles of unconditional agape love that we see modeled in God.
- Knowing Evil (Thou Shalt Not Nature). This submissive nature filters all input through the rules of the Ten Commandments.
The Sign: The Ten Commandments.
The commandments are the visible sign of God's will.
Written on stone they can only teach us good but cannot imprint it in us.
Restoring the will of God involves restoring His law in our mind.
- Restoring The Character Of God.

Restoring the image of God requires having the character of God.
We must internalize this character. The covenant assures us that this is the plan of God.
- Jesus Christ. He came to show that it was possible for man to have the character of God.
Having The Mind Of Jesus.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
(2 Corinthians 3: 18)
The sanctuary design shows us this mirror. If we look at Jesus and submit to Him under the guidance of the Holy Spirit influencing our conscience we will be changed.
- The Holy Spirit. He came to write the commandment in our minds.
Covenant.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
(Hebrews 8: 10-11)
The covenant to know God intimately is like a marriage covenant.
When He becomes one with you, you will be like Him.
Knowing The Truth.
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
(John 16: 8, 13)
- Sin. You will know what is sin.
- Righteousness. You will know what is righteousness.
- Judgment. You will know what are the consequences and rewards.
- The Faithful (A Legacy Of Faith). Their example is a legacy of faith in the covenant with God.
- The Unfaithful. Their example shows us the folly of disobedience.
Unfaithful Examples.
Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
(1 Corinthians 10: 11)
The Sign: Tefillin (Writing The Law In Our Hearts).
Since we are determined to be in the dominant position, the tefillin gives us a visible picture of this reeducation process.
It becomes the new submissive nature, teaching us to submit to God and teaching us the character of God.
Dominant-Submissive (Head-Hand).
The tefillin is a visible picture of the will of God implanted in us. It is the mirror image of the structures in our brain that affect morality.
It consists of two boxes, each contain four verses of the SHEMA which remind the people to love and obey God.
- Head Tefillin (Conscience). It mimics the structure of the pituitary gland and the tissues around it. These brain structures control the hormonal systems that control all our emotions and vices.
Fear, addiction, anger, gambling, hunger, thirst, sex and love are all managed in this area of the brain.
The tefillin teaches us that if we daily fill our minds with the words of God, because we love God, then we can have control over our inner desires.
- Hand Tefillin (Dominant Nature).
The hand carries out the instructions of the head using the same set of rules. So our good desires will lead to good actions.
The tefillin is placed on the dominant hand. It symbolizes the fact that the dominant nature must be controlled by the laws of God. It must have the knowledge of good.
- Dominant Nature (Righteous). The righteous submit to Jesus. He wears our tefillin.
- Submissive Nature (Sinner).
The dominant nature of sinners is their submissive side. In the beginning the sinner must wear the tefillin until they are completely submissive.
When we have truly been changed by the tefillin then we will relinquish control to Jesus Christ.
Mirror Image (Hearing And Doing).
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
(James 1: 22-25)
This dual symbol helps us to understand the difference between righteousness and wickedness.
Just as Jesus said, sin begins with our thoughts. Our status as righteous or unrighteous is based on our thoughts and desires.
Wickedness occurs only when we act on these thoughts.
One sin is internal and the other is externa.l Since all sin begins with our thoughts the law must be written in our minds.
Thoughts And Actions.
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
(Isaiah 55:7)
I prefer to make my arguments from the Bible alone but I found this so fascinating that I always remembered it. This agrees with what seems to be the design.
According to Ellen White, when the angels saw the Ten Commandments they basically said "What is that?"
External Law Is A Novelty.
The will of God is expressed in the precepts of His holy law, and the principles of this law are the principles of heaven. The angels of heaven attain unto no higher knowledge than to know the will of God, and to do His will is the highest service that can engage their powers.
But in heaven, service is not rendered in the spirit of legality.
When Satan rebelled against the law of Jehovah, the thought that there was a law came to the angels almost as an awakening to something unthought of.
In their ministry the angels are not as servants, but as sons.
There is perfect unity between them and their Creator. Obedience is to them no drudgery. Love for God makes their service a joy. So in every soul wherein Christ, the hope of glory, dwells, His words are re-echoed,
"I delight to do Thy will, O My God: yea, Thy law is within My heart." Psalm 40: 8.
Ellen G. White "Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing" page 109 paragraph 2
This is because the laws are so internalized that they are as natural and automatic as breathing or walking so that you do not think about the mechanics of how they are done.
» A Missing Organ?
So the external Ten Commandments are as foreign and unnatural to them as a tefillin worn on the forehead, yet this is their internal design.
It belongs inside the body just as much as the heart belongs inside the chest.
- Reconciliation With God (Peace Through Unity).
God will reunite the fractured mind.
God abolishes the enmity not by abolishing the law, but by reconciling both natures in a peace process.
Friends Not Enemies.
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
(Ephesians 2: 15)
However, the negotiated peace is not any ordinary agreement.
The two do not become friendly neighbours or business partners or loyal friends or parents and adopted children.
God negotiates the most permanent of unions of strangers. He performs a marriage.
The Sign: Marriage.
Marriage is the picture of the plan of God.
In every instance of permanent unity, God makes one out of two opposites.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
(Genesis 2: 23-24)
- Husband And Wife (Marriage). Two strangers make a permanent bond.
Divorce.
And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.
Unity.
But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Adultery.
And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.
And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
(Mark 10: 4-9, 11-12)
So divorce and adultery model the fractured dysfunction of the mind in the state of sin.
Divorce was not God's intention.
It leads to adultery which is the perfect model of how the fractured mind pursues forbidden desires.
- Jews And Gentiles (Church). Two branches of the church will be reunited at the end as a sign.
- Heaven And Earth (House Of God). The ultimate reunion is also called a marriage. With Christ as the bridegroom and the church as a bride, heaven joins with earth to make a new house for God.
Creation: . God established marriage at the creation (Genesis 2: 23-24).
Jesus: . He is the bridegroom of the church.
- Accepting The Character Of God.
The second nature must accept instructions from the first. We must compare and filter our desires and actions through it.
- Repentance. This is actually submitting to God when we realize that we are wrong.
- Recreation.
We are healed by being broken and reassembled - making a new creation.
Breaking Our Pride
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
(Psalm 51: 17)
Broken For Us
And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
(1 Corinthians 11: 24)
Broken By The Cost
And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
(Luke 20: 17-18)
Recreated
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(Ephesians 4: 24)
The New Man
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
(2 Corinthians 5: 17)
- Rejecting Evil.
This promise of enmity with evil is an act of God through the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
(Genesis 3: 15)
The Sign: Submission.
We must learn to submit and reestablish the one-way flow.
Submission has received a bad reputation because it is not modeled correctly in earthly marriages.
Jesus Christ is the bridegroom of the church.
When we submit to Him as our real husband chosen by our Father God, we will desire Him and His rule.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
(Genesis 3: 16)
Creation: . God established submission for the woman after sin (Genesis 3: 16).
Jesus: . Jesus submitted to death on the cross.
- Resting From Sin.
The promise of God is that we can rest from the works of sin.
The Sign: Sabbath.
From the beginning the Sabbath was given as a sign of this rest.
Creation: . God created and blessed the Sabbath day at creation (Genesis 2: 1-3).
Jesus: . Jesus rested in the grave on the Sabbath after He died.
- Dominion (Rule). God gave humanity dominion over the planet. We rule all the creatures.
(Genesis 3: 26-28)
At the end of time the beasts rule man. Animals mark their territory by peeing all over it.
The end time beast also marks its territory. Accepting the mark of the beast on our forehead is like having Satan pee all over us, even peeing inside our head.
The Sign: The Seal Of God (Dominion Over Sin). The opposite of the mark of the beast is the seal of God. When the character of God is indelibly stamped in us we will rule again with Him.
Creation: . Adam was given dominion over the earth (Genesis 1: 26-28).
Jesus: . Jesus received dominion after the crucifixion (Revelation 1: 6; Revelation 5: 11-13; Jude 1: 25).
Dominion Over Death.
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
(Revelation 1: 18)
Jesus: The Overcomer.
Jesus kept the will of God because the character of God was completely internalized in Him.
He closely and permanently identified Himself with us as our elder brother. He then reconciled His prodigal brothers and sisters with our anxious Father through submission to the cross.
Having achieved rest from sin, by getting dominion over sin and death, He is recognized everywhere as the one who has dominion over the earth and the universe because He loved so much.
Creation: .
We can also have dominion over sin if we submit to God. He will write the law in our heart. He will change our characters to conform to His will. He is making peace with us. We just have to stop fighting and say "yes" to this proposal of marriage and offer of peace.
The Prophecy: The Wicked Reject The Image Of God.
Even in the prophecies we can see these dynamics at work. There are only two options.
Rejecting the image of God means that they are being transformed into the image of the beast.
- The Corrupted Sanctuary.
When Satan fell it was because his corruption had filled him with violence.
Lucifer, the light bearer was now his alter ego, Satan - the adversary and prince of darkness.
This sanctuary falls because its lawless worshippers are the most violent who have ever littered the surface of the earth.
- The Most Unholy Place (6-6-6).
Satan now has residence over the abyss in the seat of God as god.
To a fool standing beside God and looking around the throne room with envy, the conscience looks like a space constructed with 18 boards, this is 6 on each wall (6-6-6).
However, the strength of the strong force is based on two hidden boards, making the stable structure (6-8-6) or (7-6-7).
When Satan takes up residence, this unsupported structure falls apart.
- The Construction Of The Evil One. He is the model for the corrupt system.
He has a name for every phase of his works.
- Lucifer - The Light Bearer (South Wall). On the side of the menorah is the light bearer who turned off his light.
- Satan - The Adversary (North Wall). On the side of wrath and the broken bread is the one who turned against us to break us, not the one who fought for us until He was broken.
- Abaddon - The Destroyer (West Wall). On this side Jesus Christ is the strong force who holds everything together, and He has an army (Revelation 19).
Satan is the one who destroys. He has an army of locusts. In this position as destroyer this side is unsupported, so his number is six not 6+2.
» 6+2 (West Wall).
Satan operates through seven series of nations, but he is pictured as the eighth in this set of seven.
This can naturally be understood by the C natural musical scale. The series of eight notes from doh (low C) -to doh (high C) is actually the seven notes of one series and the beginning of the next series. This is why the series starts with Babylon and ends with Babylon the great - the final empire in which Satan reveals himself.
Beast In Perdition.
And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
(Revelation 17: 11)
The north wall is the region of death.
- The Beast And Image (Mirror Image).
This is the only biblical symbol that explains the relationship between the beast and its image.
The dragon sits on the throne. The beast is on his right hand.
The image on the left is the exact copy and alter ego of the beast.
The false prophet is the high priest.
- Demon Possessed (Full Of Violence).
At the end of time men will be controlled by demons.

Lucifer - The Light Bearer (Darkness) |
Filled With Demons (Possessed). At the end of time, when God vacates the mind the only option left is demon possession.
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
(Revelation 18: 2)
When men reject God to the point where God vacates the premises, they are left with a clean, empty space which they decorate with all their favorite ideas.
However, they only have two options and the evil one will take over.
The Empty Mind.
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
(Matthew 12: 43-45)
- The Ultimate Defilement (Three Unclean Spirits Like Frogs).
In the sixth plague, John shows that demonic possession defiles internally.
Three Unclean Spirits.
And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
(Revelation 16: 13-14)
The only possible fruit from a mind in this state is sin. Committing sin, justifying sin, supporting sin, hating good and even being unable to see anything valid except sin.
- False Prophet (Priest). The spokesman for the beast is a false prophet. (Revelation 16: 13; 19:20; 20:10)
- The Idol Of Daniel 2.
While Jesus marries the church He dissolves all unions with the beast.
As God reconstructs His kingdom, Satan's kingdom fractures and falls apart.
- A Head Without A Tefillin.
The head of gold symbolized Babylon and at the end of time the final empire called Babylon the great is modeled after this golden head.
This head is full of sin because it has not submitted to the will of God, nor has it learned the character of God.
- Crumbling Empire.
God used clay to make the first man and woman, now the beast uses clay that cannot hold together.
Their creation crumbles like dust.
- Marriage Dissolves. In the end they frantically try to hold the kingdom together through marriage and it does not work.
Incompatible.
And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
(Daniel 2: 43)
- The Rock.
Built on an unstable foundation the image is susceptible to earthquakes and attacks on its weak foundations.
It disintegrates when it is smashed by the Rock from outer space.
No one can break apart what God has joined.
However, at the end of time a union conceived and constructed by the enemy of God will be disassembled and destroyed.
- The Great Whore Of Revelation (The Submissive Who Dominates).
In the beginning a male (Satan) corrupted a woman who corrupted her weak husband.
In the end, Satan again corrupts a woman (church) who came to power because the weak men were corrupt. They were concerned with power and war (multiplying horns) and they were consumed with sex.
- Many Heads.
Bablyon was more concerned with money and power.
Babylon multiplied gold and heads and horns but did not fix the errors inside the head.
Multiplying Corrupt Heads.
So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
A Filthy Hand. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
A Corrupted Head. And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
Drunk. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
(Revelation 17: 3-6)
- The Adulterer.
Babylon would not enter into a sanctified marriage but was content with adultery, fornication and prostitution.
These dynamics do not create family and cohesion and the house was doomed to failure.
So the dissolution of their house was with internal violence.
The Domain Of The Great Whore.
And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Seething Resentment.
And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
Enmity In Their Heart. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
A Woman Reigns. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
(Revelation 17: 15-18)
Remember that the submissive nature knows what is evil. So the submissive who fights for domination brings in corruption.
The dominant forced into submission fights back.
The Overcomers: An Incorruptible Seed.
When the image of God is restored in us we become incorruptible.
We are the seed of God, which is determined by character not genes or birthright.
- An Incorruptible Seed. When we are born again we are born of God, not born in sin.
The Seed Of God. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
(1 John 3: 9)
Having the seed of God means that we are no longer corrupted from within so we are able to evaluate and properly incorporate or discard any influence that bombards us.
- The Holy Spirit.
We are changed from inside when the Holy Spirit sits on the throne of our heart and teaches us how to be good again.
- Knowing Truth. You begin the cleansing transformation by knowing what is good and why it is good.
Renewed.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
(Romans 12: 1-2)
This renewal restores the image of God.
The Image Of God Renewed.
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
(Ephesians 4: 22-24)
Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are the principal models and examples of perfection.
Holy Spirit.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
(Galatians 5: 16)
Jesus Christ.
But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
(Romans 13: 14)
- Loving Truth. It is not enough to know right from wrong, you have to want what is right.
It is still not enough to want what is right because you may desire this for personal gain or personal ideals such as for "the good of the many".
You have to love what is right so that if you were the last human being standing and all the world is streaming in the other direction, you will stand steadfast and tall.
Wisdom Not Concensus.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
(Psalm 51: 6)
- Active Resistance. We are now incorruptible because we rule our thoughts and actions under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We also actively strengthen the inner man through daily prayer and Bible study and communion with God.
- Dominion Over Sin.
Adam and Eve were given dominion over the planet and Satan wrenched it away.
We must take back dominion and control, especially over our own mind and so take control of sin.
We must be proactive about the things we let in so that temptation does not overwhelm us.
Cain fell because sin was waiting at the door and he invited it in and fed it and sin conquered him and ruled.
Take Dominion.
If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.
(Genesis 4: 7 NASB)
- Resisting The Devil.
Unlike Cain, we do not make friends with our enemy.
We are incorruptible because we know our enemy and actively resist him.
The Victorious Child.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
(James 4: 7-8)
James sums up all the elements of this warfare.
If we submit to God and get close to Him, the warfare between our dueling natures will cease and we have the strength to resist Satan.
Satan has to flee because the overwhelming force of the tide towards good flows in the right direction and pushes him away from us.
- Avoiding Temptation. We can further strengthen our position by carefully guarding what influences us.
Evaluate all that we do according to this advice.
Life Choices.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
(Philippians 4: 8)
Our decisions about marriage, career, hobbies, television shows, personal devotion and choice of entertainment must be subject to these rules.
If God were your guest how would you entertain Him?
- Eyes. You would not watch pornography. Even reality based shows that reenact scenes tend to focus on sexual scenes that would have been unheard of at any hour. But these are available for children to see at anytime.
In countries outside the USA frontal nudity is as common place as chewing gum.
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
(Psalm 101: 3)
It is safe to say that God will enjoy the natural antics of babies and puppies, but toddlers dressed up in lipstick, thongs, revealing clothes strutting down the runway like little hookers wearing crowns is not God's idea.
- Ears. The righteous refuse to contaminate their minds by hearing or looking at what is unacceptable to God.
The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?
He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.
(Isaiah 33: 14-16)
- Entertainment. Can you enjoy your adultery vicariously by applauding actors who advertise this filth?
Whose kingdom are you promoting or supporting when you patronize them?
Finding Pleasure In Sin.
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
(Romans 1: 32)
Do these choices glorify God or enhance the kingdom of Satan? Could they exist in heaven. If not, what purpose do they serve on earth in restoring the kingdom of God?
If they advance the kingdom of Satan then they are at war with God.
- Self-Control.
Active resistance means that we not only control what comes in, we must look at what comes out of us and why.
God created by sound. We destroy with the tongue.
Like the bit in the horse's mouth and the little helm on a huge ship the tongue is a little structure with great power to turn a large object so that they obey us.
The tongue can be a great enemy of the mind that is still being transformed.
Hurtful Truths.
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
(James 3: 6,8)
If Satan cannot entice us to sin, he will do the next best thing.
He will "push our buttons". When we push back we will most likely sin.
On the road to doing sin he must make us first think about sin through self-justification and then unleash these ideas through words.
Even flattery can be sin because it is a lie or it is done for personal advantage by self-promotion or for grooming someone who can be of advantage to us in the future.
Nice Lies.
The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
(Psalm 12: 3)
Perfection Is Self-Control.
For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
(James 3: 2)
- Impenetrable Defence: The Armor Of God. We are incorruptible because we have a tough outer shell.
These verses remind us that our battle against sin cannot be genetic because it is not simply about the battles we have with human flesh.
Our internal struggles or our efforts to resist external influences are not the primary battles.
We must take dominion over our internal space and the scriptures say that this is possible if we submit to the Holy Spirit.
This is a decision we can make, not a decision that is taken away from us by our genetic flaws.
Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
(Ephesians 6: 11)
A proper understanding of our battle and our strengths makes us invincible.
Invincible.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
(2 Corinthians 10: 3-5)
If we submit to God, treat others with mercy and understanding and take a good look at ourselves then we are on our way to perfection.
Introspection.
Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Submit To God. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Kindness To Others. Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
(James 4: 9-12)
- Repent. Turn away from evil actions and thoughts and seek the righteousness of God.
Help From God.
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Right Actions And Thoughts. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
(Isaiah 55: 6-9)
- Resist. Resist modern influences.
- Dead To Sin.
Focus on finding God, not fighting sin.
Death to sin only comes after we have found life in Jesus where the result is that we are immune to sin.
To conquer sin we must first focus on the mercy of the Saviour.
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6: 1-7, 11)
When we understand that sin is not merely a result of a body out of control we can begin to address the real enemy.
Satan wants us to be preoccupied with "rehab". By focusing on fighting ourselves we think that we are conquering sin.
When we have exhausted and bruised ourselves then the real enemy comes to take over.
- Perfect.
After we have fought all the external battles, eventually, perfection comes from what remains within.
A Submissive Spirit.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
A Clean Heart. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
A Peaceful Spirit. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
(James 3: 13-18)
- Love.
The measure of the righteous man is how much he loves. The measure of the perfect man is not in how much he loves himself but how much he loves others, especially God.
An Eternal Love Affair.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
(John 3: 16-17)
Study to show yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.
