Daniel and Revelation |
Time of the End (Sealed) |
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
(Daniel 12: 1-2)
This section completes the prophecies of Daniel 11.
The events of Daniel 12: 1 follow after Daniel 11: 45.
Remember, Chapter divisions were added later, so this section completes the events of the previous chapter.
This prophecy and the seven trumpets are the two hardest prophecies.
Daniel did not understand it. God hid its meaning and would only reveal it at the end of time.
"At That Time". What time? There are two possibilities.
- Beginning of War. Daniel 11: 40. It could refer to the end of time that starts with a war between the Kings of the north and south. This is any time after 2001.
The time of distress starts at the beginning of this war and ends with the Second Coming.
- End of War. Daniel 11: 45. The time of distress starts at the end of the war, after the tabernacle is built in Israel, and continues to the Second Coming.
The outcome of the war precipitates disaster.
Michael The Great Prince. In another lesson we show that Michael is Jesus Christ and He is also the prince of Israel according to Daniel 10: 21.
The act of standing up could mean that Jesus Christ makes a decisive act at the end of time, at the beginning of the time of trouble.
This must be the beginning of the latter rain.
Shepherd Stands Up.
And He will arise and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God
and they will remain, because at that time He will be great to the ends of the earth.
(Micah 5: 4)
Micah also prophecies about the Shepherd who stands up when His name is great to the ends of the earth.
He stands up just before enemies attack the land.
Time Of Trouble.

Second Coming | People delivered | Second Coming | Second Coming |
Resurrection | Resurrection | Angels with a great trumpet | Angels gather the elect | Second Coming | Resurrection |
This prophecy is expanded by Jesus.
Then He continued by saying to them, "Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.
There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
(Luke 21: 10-11, 25-26)
In these prophecies we find the following structure of events.
- First Tribulation. This is the 1260 year prophecy. Luke calls it the time of the Gentiles.
- Disasters. Roaring sea, tsunamis, hurricane and typhoons, earthquakes.
- Astronomical Signs. Dark sun, falling stars, meteor strikes, blood moon and strange lights.
- Second Tribulation. This is the second wave of persecution when the Mark of the Beast is enforced.
- Sign of His Coming. This may be a part of the events of the day of the Second Coming or it could be a separate event a short time earlier.
The passage of time tends to be blurred in the simple language of the prophecies.
At this point it will be interesting to note two different sets of prophetic expectations before the Second Coming. The structure of the prophecies support this possibility.
- Adventist. The whole world will see the ten commandments displayed in the sky.
- Catholic. The whole world will see a sign of the cross on display in the sky.
- Second Coming and Resurrection.
Such As Never Was.
The problems must be more devastating than any other previous cycle.
The reason is that it must compel modern, atheistic, scientific or rational minded men to revert to forced religion.
All these factors could be a part of the dynamics.
- War. The war on terrorism involves an enemy we cannot see in a place that cannot be defined.
Ancient warfare was so predictable that people used to bring picnic chairs to watch the scheduled battles.
- Frequency and Diversity. Many types of problems on a continuous basis.
- Severity. Record setting.
- Scale. Global impact.
- Unprecedented. Never happened before or extremely rare.
Have we seen any emerging patterns related to this after the end of the war? Yes.
And as bad as it seems, it is going to get worse because the disasters from the atmospheric heavens will
switch to disasters from outer space.
Since 1995, natural disasters increased. Europe began to receive floods, winds and other weather phenomenon that were virtually unknown.
The events appear to have escalated again in 2004.
- Heat (Summer 2003). 30,000 people died in Europe. 20,000 were in France. Every year sets new heat records.
- 2004 Hurricane Season. The hurricane season in the United States and the Far East were record setting.
Florida was hit by four hurricanes and two tropical storms.
- December 26, 2004 Tsunami. The 9.3 Asian earthquake and tsunami that shook the whole planet and wiped out the coastal areas of the Indian Ocean. It killed 221,000 and five million were homeless.
- 2005 Hurricane Season. This year the season surpassed last year.
On August 29, hurricane Katrina wiped out the Gulf Coast states of the United States. Chaos remained. New Orleans was wiped out. One million were homeless. An estimate of over 10,000 dead. It will cost over $120 billion.
- Floods (August 2005). Over 1000 people died in India after a record 37 inches (95 cm) of rain fell in one day. Southern and central Europe flooded (Switzerland, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany).
- Disasters on the Lines of Travel (2005). There were six passenger plane crashes in one month.
Five of these occurred in two weeks of August.
- Global Gas Crisis. A gas crisis is emerging. It might lead to Sunday laws as the government restricts gas usage by limiting opportunity and reasons for travel. If stores are not open, there is no reason to go shopping.
The Beginning of Sorrow. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, see that you are not troubled for all this things must happen, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilence and earthquakes in many places.
All these things are the beginning of sorrow.
(Matthew 24: 6-8)
One major rumor of war is an impending war with Iran.
Jesus refers to this time of trouble as the beginning of sorrow.
National Apostasy and National Ruin.
1798 | 1929 | 1981 | 1993 | 1995 | 2000 | 2001 | 2004 | 2005 | ... | Persecution |
Church falls | Healed | Babylon | Sunday laws | Disasters increase | Supports religion | National Ruin |
Time of the End | Time of trouble |
The European Union apostasy was followed by the increase in natural disasters in that region.
The American national apostasy in financially supporting religions was followed by a series of events that can be described as the beginning of our national ruin.
This apostasy will continue to include Sunday laws, then forced worship, then persecution.
With each cycle of apostasy, the national ruin will get worse.
Written In The Book. In another lesson we show that this is the Book of Life.
Resurrection. Daniel 12 seems to collapse two resurrections that span one thousand years into one sentence.
- Righteous. They are resurrected and gathered from all parts of the earth by the angels.
- Wicked. They are resurrected to shame and contempt. There are two interpretations of this.
- Second Resurrection. This is the next general resurrection of the wicked one thousand years later.
- Special Resurrection. This is a group of people who insulted Christ at the crucifixion.
They get to see Him coming in power and great glory.
This is not unusual. A special resurrection of the righteous, known as the first fruits, occurred when Jesus died.
They went around the city testifying. Now another special resurrection occurs.
The wicked people who arranged His disgrace, and rejected the testimony of the first fruits see His triumph.
The Wise Ones.
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand,
but those who have insight will understand.
(Daniel 12: 3, 10)
The Bible predicts that at the end time knowledge will increase and the sealed book of Daniel will be understood by the wise ones.
This reminds us of the time Daniel interpreted the vision of the king.
None of the astrologers understood, but God instructed Daniel.
He will do the same thing at the end of time. He will give wisdom and knowledge.
As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and intelligence in every branch of literature and wisdom; Daniel even understood all kinds of visions and dreams.
(Daniel 1: 17)

Knowledge Increases.
Message Sealed.
"But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.
(Daniel 12: 4)
"until the time of the end". Here we are told in no uncertain terms that Daniel's message would be
sealed or concealed until the time of the end.
"and knowledge shall be increased" .
At that time, the prophet tells us that knowledge would increase and people would again understand its contents.
We learned in Daniel 8 that the time of the end stretches to the year 1844. Using simple logic, we now know that the book of Daniel therefore must have begun to be understood around the year 1844.

Tree of Life |
It seems that since Eve prematurely ate the fruit that all we learned was the knowledge of evil and not good.
Satan appears to be the spirit that bore bad fruit, while the Holy Spirit bears good fruit.
After Jesus Christ came to remove the reproach from the name of God, we have had access to the knowledge of Good.
At the end of time, God is sending more knowledge from the tree of knowledge.
We are now mature enough to eat from the tree. We are to pick its good fruit.
When we bear the mature fruit of the Spirit we will have access to the Tree of Life.
» Modern Science In The Bible.
We believe that as a part of this fulfillment, God has given us information in 2008 which shows that the Mishkan (portable temple) is a mathematical model of modern science including the Periodic Table of chemistry and a unified model of particle physics.
Scientists have not yet unified these theories as of 2011 and that makes the Bible model superior to all theories of particle physics.
This knowledge was sealed until the strategic time when it could be revealed while particle physics theories are still in their infancy.
The fact that it is being revealed before the accurate model of physics is determined should compel scientists to pay attention so that they can understand what they are seeing in their experiments.
It was revealed after science had formulated most of their theories, promoted evolution, ridiculed the Bible as an unscientific book of myths and fables and answered every evidence of foreknowledge in the Bible as texts written after the event.
Since their discoveries were made after 1860 and since the knowledge of the Mishkan can be documented in 3500 year old ancient texts and the first printed Bible, then they cannot resort to their former dismissive arguments.
The Time Of The End.
How can we recognize this period?
All the evidence points to the time after 1798.
- After the Fall of the Papacy. Daniel 12: 7 suggests that it started in 1798, the year the 1260 year time prophecy ended.
- The Sanctuary Knowledge Restored. The 2300 year time prophecy ends during this period.
- Knowledge and Inventions. It would be characterized by an increase in knowledge. The 1800's experienced an unprecedented growth in scientific knowledge and inventions.
During this period, knowledge of the Bible and the prophecies also increased worldwide.
It caused many unrelated people to preach about the Second Coming.
The Sealing.
"Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank. And the one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?"
"Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished."
(Daniel 12: 5-7)
Here we have a picture of the throne of God.
- River. A river flows from the throne of God.
- Two Men on the Riverbank. These are two angels standing on land on either side of the throne of God.
- Man Clothed in Linen above the Waters. God sits on the throne above the waters.
The Book of Daniel ends in a special ceremony in which we learn that the persecuting power would be given
"a time, times and half a time" or 1260 years before it is stopped. Then his book would be unsealed after that time.
The Book is Sealed.
I heard but I did not understand; so I said "My Lord, what will be the outcome of these events?"
He said, "Go your way, Daniel for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time".
(Daniel 12: 8-9)
This part of the prophecies would be understood in the future. God would give wisdom and knowledge in the end when He unseals the prophecy.
Three Time Prophecies.
These are the prophecies that are confusing. In this lesson we will explain how they are related.
In the next lesson we will give the interpretation when we discuss the unsealing of the prophecies.
"Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished."
"... from the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he who waits and comes to the thousand three hundred and thirty five days. "
(Daniel 12: 7, 11, 12)
These time periods are based on Daniel 11: 31 which is a list of events. The order is given in Daniel 12 as an enlargement of this verse.
- 1260 days. This is a period of persecution ("time, times and half a time").
- 1290 days. This marks a period of supremacy when the abomination of desolation removes the continual.
- 1335 days. This appears to be an extension of the 1290 year period. At the end, the people of God are rewarded.
However, verse 11 is ambiguous. It mentions two events, the removal of the continual and setting up the abomination.
The two events could mark the beginning of the 1290 days or mark both ends. This is illustrated in the table above.
However, because of the nature of the offense and how the final curse is administered, we know that the desolation occurs at the end.
The third illustration is more accurate.

The abomination occurs from the beginning at the time it destroys the true worship and is allowed to shatter the holy people for 1260 days.
It begins to rule because it removes the continual, or true worship.
In the end, it will be punished by a desolation or destruction of the sanctuary.
This is either the false sanctuary or the true sanctuary that has been abandoned by disobedient worshippers.
Their destruction also causes the end of the shattering.
To understand these prophecies we need to understand the events that define their duration.
- Apostasy. Daniel says that the host and the continual was given over to the little horn because of apostasy.
This began in 538 AD. Notice that it took about 490 years after the church began. The Christians were exiled for apostasy, just as the Jews were.
And on account of transgression the host will be given over to the little horn along with the regular sacrifice [continual]; and it will fling truth to the ground and perform its will and prosper.
(Daniel 8: 12)
- Continual. This is the offering for sin that was continually burned for the people.
Every day, two lambs were offered. One in the morning and the next in the evening.
When Christ was crucified, He replaced this system and became both the continual offering and the High Priest who lives to continually make intercession for us.
The beginning of apostasy starts with the removal of our access to God.
Either by removing the approved method of access or the true knowledge of God.
There are several ways in which the continual was removed.
- The Old Sacrifices. When Christ died these sacrifices were abolished. But this is a positive event, because they were replaced with a better sacrifice. Himself.
But there are two possible times when this might be true.
- Baptism (27 AD). He became the lamb of God and started fulfilling His covenant role at this time.
- Crucifixion (31 AD). He was sacrificed at this time.
- The Ministry of Christ. This is any attempt to usurp or replace the ministry of Christ.
The bible predicts that the Antichrist would do this.
- Papacy (538 AD). They replaced the role of Christ with another system of confession to men and praying to the dead.
- The Beast (Future). In the end they try to force the world into idolatry. (Revelation 13: 8, 14-15)
The removal of the continual could be marked by several events.
- Church and State. At the time the church formally links with the state to achieve its goals.
In many places in the old testament we see that God is angry because the people "put their trust in princes" instead of relying on Him.
- Forced Worship. The moment false worship is authorized or when the state acts to enforce one religion. The passage and the enforcement of a Sunday law or closing churches.
- The Church. At the end of time, the removal of the continual will involve the removal of the true worship.
In the French Revolution they closed churches, burned the Bible, removed religious symbols, outlawed the church and tried to set up a religion based on the worship of nature.
- Churches Closed. Churches will be forced out by mob rule or by the law.
Currently, new worldwide laws are antagonistic towards Protestant churches.
They are allowed to exist under registration rules that the state church sets.
- Changing the Laws of God. We have always believed that Sunday worship will be enforced.
I also believe that some form of idolatry will also be forced.
Currently, the European Union has created labor laws to enforce religious dogma. Sunday is the only day of rest allowed.
- Religious Symbols. Currently France and Germany are attempting to remove all outward signs of religion, except the Christian and the Catholic church.
In January 2005, BBC world news reported that Germany has declared all religious head wear to be political and has banned teachers from wearing these coverings.
However, nuns are allowed to wear their scarves because "Catholicism is the heritage of the region".
In January 2004 France instituted a more severe version of this law. They banned all students from wearing religious symbols and head wear.
But Christians are allowed to wear a small cross. And so it begins!
We can learn from these earlier attempts to remove the continual so that we can recognize similar attempts in the last days.
- Shatter The Power Of The Holy People. This clearly refers to the time of the persecution. There are two waves of persecution.
- 1260 Year Persecution (538-1798).
- Mark of the Beast (Future).
- Abomination Of Desolation. Read the lesson on the curses to fully understand this concept.
This is a destructive force that goes into the sanctuary where it does not belong.
It destroys the sanctuary of God, its services and its people by corrupting all forms of worship and acknowledgement of God.
The corruption of the sanctuary and religion is the abomination. The destruction of the corrupted sanctuary is the desolation.
As prophesied, Rome was responsible for setting up all the abominations of desolation after Babylon.
Setting Up the Abomination of Desolation.
Forces from him will arise and desecrate the sanctuary fortress and do away with the continual.
And they will set up the abomination of desolation.
(Daniel 11: 31)
Power, Politics and Prosperity |
We have two major movements among Christians today.
One preaches prosperity as a sign or obligation of God.
The other teaches control of power and politics as a duty from God.
However, we find that the prophecies about the end of time predict that the people of God will be shattered.
They will have neither economic nor political power.
And it specifically teaches that when they have reached this stage of destitution, then God will come.
Therefore, the hope of God is not in the ballot or the bullet or the wallet.
It is in the Book.
|
|
Crucifixion (31 AD)
The people declared Him an abomination, then Rome killed the body temple of Christ.
This murder of God was both an abomination and a desolation.
Destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple (70 AD). Rome destroyed the sanctuary building through general Titus after a 3.5 year siege.
... and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.
(Daniel 9: 26)
This is the abomination of desolation mentioned by Christ.
Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains.
(Matthew 24: 15-16)
Papacy (538 AD). Rome gave the church its power and throne, the old capital and an army when it removed the capital to Constantinople and abandoned Rome.
The papacy proceeded to shatter the church and introduce several forms of abomination in the worship during 3.5 prophetic years (1260 years).
1290 Days From the time that the regular sacrifice [daily] is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1290 days.
(Daniel 12: 11)
The Desolation of the French Revolution (1798 AD). The French destroyed the church and try to destroy Christianity. In the end, the church that desolated the people of God was given over to
the nation that helped to bring it to power. When the Romans gave the western empire to the church, it was the French who first submitted to the papal authority and helped the church to subdue the rest of the tribes.
The Beast (Future).
All the abominations of Rome climax into this final attempt at capturing the throne of God. The church of Rome unites with the state to create a global state that enforces church doctrine.
The ministry of Christ is replaced by priests who crucify Him daily in the mass and take His role as the priest who forgives sin, changes the day of worship and encourage the people to bow before idols and make petitions to dead people instead of Christ.
The ten horns which come out of Rome shall give power to the beast at the end of time so that the Antichrist comes to power. (Revelation 17: 13)
The European Union shall act to give power to the United States and the church.
This power sets up his seat in Jerusalem.
Their abomination will be forcing the mark of the beast on the world under penalty of death for the purpose of breaking the first four commandments.
The King of the North (Future). Daniel 11: 45 says that at the end they would set up a tabernacle or sanctuary in the Holy Mountain. This is the final abomination of desolation.
This is the same event described in Revelation 13 and 17, when the Beast enforces religion around the world.
It should be accompanied by a simultaneous occupation or control of Jerusalem.
The beast who is also the king of the north and the Antichrist will be desolated by the Second Coming when Michael stands up.
"He will pitch the tents of his royal pavilion between the seas and the beautiful Holy Mountain; yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
(Daniel 11: 45 to 12: 1)
How does the time periods apply to each abomination?
We assume that the final days will follow the same time pattern in real time, not prophetic time because all events at the end must happen in one generation.

This series of events fulfills 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4, 6-8 which says that the Second Coming wil not occur until after the falling away and the man of sin is revealed.
Then he sets himself up in the temple of God to be worshipped before the Lord destroys him at the Second Coming.
- Blessed.
If the problem begins with the removal of the continual, then the blessing might refer to its restoration.
This might be marked by a specific event or by a conversion of the people. The blessing comes after an important period of waiting.
There are very few blessed events for which the church is waiting.
- Pentecost (31 AD). The disciples were told to wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit to the early church.
- Gentiles (34 AD). The Gentiles were formally chosen 3.5 years after the crucifixion.
- Sanctuary Cleansed (1844). The restoration of the knowledge of Christ and the heavenly sanctuary.
- Revival. The Protestant Reformation and the 1800's revival began a restoration of the knowledge of God.
- The Latter Rain (Now-Future). We are promised another outpouring of the Spirit to finish the work.

When God plants the seed of a movement at the Latter Rain, by law it will take three years before God expects fruit.
So the blessed event is related to the counting of time for Pentecost.
- Second Coming (Future). This is the ultimate hope of the church.
Time Interpretation.
We need to examine one more issue before we attempt to interpret the prophecy.
There are two competing theories about the interpretation of the time. I will introduce a third.
- Prophetic Time. The time periods should be interpreted the same way as the rest of all the other time prophecies.
These periods use the year for day principle.
This is consistent with all other interpretations and it makes sense.
- Real Time. These times should be interpreted as real time. One example is that the time given to Nebuchadnezzar was seven times. That was seven real years.
Here we learn another principle. Since the human life span is about seventy years old, any prophecy about a particular person must occur in real time.
- Both. Both are correct.
We also learned that the seven year prophecy of Nebuchadnezzar occurred in both prophetic and real time.
As you will see in a later argument about Revelation 10: 11,
at the unsealing we are told to "prophecy again". In other words, "repeat the prophecy".
There is evidence that the prophecies will be repeated because the events of the first fall of Babylon mirrors the issues and events of the second fall.
One occurs in prophetic time. The other occurs in real time since it is a message to the final generation.
How is this possible?
God acts in a specific pattern according to the legal terms of the covenant.
His action is also triggered by a specific pattern of actions by humans.
So, the continued apostasy of the church triggers the curse and the wrath of God.

Prophetic Time |
Real Time |
The one danger in this interpretation is that if we can identify the event that begins the prophecy it may lead to date setting.
The bible seems to suggest that we will not know the day or the hour but we should know that it is near.
The Interpretation
Several events mimic this pattern of time and events. We are not suggesting that these are fulfillment because the real fulfillment is at the time of the end.
We are simply demonstrating the time patterns are also in earlier desolations.
- The Fall of Jerusalem and Christ (27-70 AD). The desolation of the second temple and the shattering of Christ.
- The First Fall of the Papacy (538-1798). The desolation of the heavenly sanctuary and the shattering of the church.
- The Second Fall of the Papacy (Future). The real fulfillment is about this desolation which shatters the wicked.
The Destruction Of Jerusalem And The Temple And The Christ
Using the same time ratio, substitute each month for a year and the pattern appears.
The destruction of the second temple occurred because of the ultimate abomination.
The people rejected and killed God. Remarkably, this destruction occurred 42 years after Jesus became the lamb of God.
The blessed event could be the end of the war in 73 AD after the siege of Masada.
The events happened according to the same time scale of the prophecy.
And, when the final destruction came, this little cycle of time was repeated between 66 and 70 AD.
The little cycle of time was also repeated at the beginning when Christ began His ministry.
So three sets of events follow this pattern.
- The Ministry of Christ. He came to complete the covenant with them and was killed after three and a half years.

- Crucifixion. At the time of His death there was a three and a half day pattern that started with the Last Supper. It ended in a blessing when they saw the risen Christ on Sunday night.
- The Early Church. The disciples ministered to the Jews for three and a half years before they were shattered at the stoning of Stephen.
This was a legal requirement of the covenant which completed the 490 years remaining for the Jewish nation.
This caused a blessing as the gospel was legally allowed to go out to the Gentiles. Perhaps Paul was sent about 45 days later.
- The Desolation of Israel. After rejecting the covenant Messiah, their desolation came 40 years after this rejection and 42 years after His baptism.

This is not a coincidence.
|
Wheel within a Wheel.
This pattern within a pattern reminds us of Ezekiel's vision of the throne of God.
At least five sets of events over this time mimic this pattern of time and events.
|
- The Siege of Jerusalem.
The desolation ended with the three and a half year period between 66 and 70 AD.
I do not have enough detail information about this time period.
But except for the escape of the Christians there is nothing blessed about the days after the desolation.
The destruction of Jerusalem and the people also follows two other important time periods.
- Forty Years (31 AD-70 AD). Like the punishment for rejecting God in the exodus, God gave them forty years after the crucifixion to make a decision about Jesus Christ.
- Seventy Years (66 AD-126 AD). Seventy years after the beginning of the 3.5 year siege by Titus, Hadrian destroyed the city at the end of another 3.5 year revolt by Bar Kochba.
This seventy year period is similar to the captivity by Babylon and points to Rome as a type of Babylon.

1798 AD |
The 2300 days (Daniel 8: 14) began in 457 BC and ended in 1844.
Within that time period are other time prophecies.
- 2300 days time prophecy ends in 1844
- 1335 days begins in 508 AD and ends in 1843. During this time the last three rivals to papal succession in the west were being eliminated (Vandals, Heruli and Ostrogoths)
- 1290 days begins in 508 AD and ends in 1798.
In 508, Clovis defeats the Visigoths who believed in Arianism and a religious monopoly under the Papacy began in Europe. The French and German tribes were given to the papacy. Clovis vows to fight for the establishment of the papacy.
- 1260 days begins in 538 AD and ends in 1798. This period is mentioned many times in prophecy as the time of persecution of the church. It begins when the last of three rivals to the throne of the old Roman empire are defeated.
Using his best general Belisarius, Justinian defeats the Vandals (534) and the Ostrogoths (538) so that the Pope could finally occupy Rome as the head of the Western empire.
- Desolation. It is interesting to note that the desolation that occurred at the fall of the papacy, was over a 3.5 year period during the French Revolution.
The 1260 year prophecy ended with a 1260 day desolation. So the abomination of desolation was itself desolated by another abomination. Atheism and secularism would ruin the church in the next centuries.
The French Revolution.
1789 - It began July 14. Nationalization of Church property (August 14). Declaration of the Rights of Man.
1793 - November 10. The Festival of Reason in Notre Dame.
Religion Banned for about 3.5 Years
» 1793 - November 22. Roman Catholicism banned and churches closed. Bibles burned.
Robespierre reports on the principles of political morality, declaring that the revolutionary government is based on both virtue and terror
"... virtue without which terror is evil, terror without which virtue is powerless"
1794 - The Great Terror (February 5). Mass executions. 250,000 - 500,000 million killed.
1794 - June 8. The Festival of the Supreme Being. Robespierre starts the cult of the supreme being.
1794 - September 18. State no longer pays expenses and salaries of the church.
1795 - February 21. Freedom of worship and separation of church and state is official.
» 1797 - August 24. Repeal of laws against the clergy.
1798 - February 10. France captures Rome and declared a republic on Febutary 15. Pope flees.
1798 - February 20. Pope imprisoned and taken to Siena then to Florence. He dies August 29, 1799.
1798 - July 1. French land in Egypt. Battle of the Nile (August 1).

Following the pattern, there should also be a last intense 3.5 day period at the end of the sixth plague.

|
In our next lesson we will show that these time tables are based on the feasts and the laws on planting and reaping.
- 1335 Days ("Shevat 1, Year 5996 - Tisheri 15, Year 6000"). Abomination of Desolation set up until our rescue.
- 1290 Days ("Shevat 1, Year 5996 - Elul 1, Year 5999"). Abomination of Desolation set up and destroyed.
- 1260 Days ("Nissan 15, Year 5996 - Tisheri 15, Year 6000"). Shatters the Holy People.
The Fulfillment
So which interpretation is correct?
It is not an accident that all the interpretations appear to follow the same events and time patterns.
Christ clearly referred to Daniel 11: 31 as having a fulfillment in the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
However, it was not an accident that He blended that fulfillment with the events at the end of time.
The prophecy would have a double meaning and would be fulfilled both times!
So eventually, the generation that sees the siege of Jerusalem will see the Second Coming.
However, if we see Daniel 12: 11-12 as an enlargement of Daniel 11: 31, then several points make the prophecies of Daniel 12 point to details at the end of time.
- Sealed. Some information was hidden until the end of time. At that time God would enlighten some wise people.
- End of Time. The events at the time of Christ are too early to qualify for the enlargement in Daniel 12.
- Blessings.
None of the abominations ended in a blessed event except for the last two at the end of time and Pentecost. However, Pentecost does not qualify since it occurred 2000 years ago.
The very nature of the abomination was to punish the disobedient people of God and send them into captivity for a number of years.
The earlier abomination did not result in blessing, it resulted in a curse.
However, the church at the end is faithful and gets the blessing instead of the curse.
It is the wicked who now get the abomination as God rescues His people.
The Repetition Of The Fulfillment
So, this is what I am saying, these prophecies in Daniel 11: 31- 45 and Daniel 12 are fulfilled more than once.
Each time it is fulfilled it prophesies the same event - the fall of the church-state union.
And it would take guidance from God at the end of time to understand this.
What is the evidence of multiple fulfillments?
- The Prophecies of Jesus Christ. Jesus blended the prophecy about the coming destruction of Jerusalem with the
end of time 2000 years later. Jesus said that His generation would see the abomination of desolation in Daniel's prophecy.
Yet Daniel 12 says that the abomination of desolation would occur at the very end of time when there is an increase in knowledge.
They are both right if the prophecy has multiple fulfillments that follow the same pattern of events. Rome fulfilled all of them.
- The Unsealing. We will study this event next. However, there is a curious admonition to the prophet after he had a bitter experience when he digested the book.
You must prophecy again.
(Revelation 10: 11)
When the church unsealed the prophecies of Daniel in the 1840's they did not receive the blessings for which they had hoped.
They were disappointed. This was not the final cycle. Therefore, they were told to repeat the prophecy.

The prophecy repeated from Daniel 11: 31 to Daniel 12 is structured into three sets of events
- Abomination Set Up. This involves replacing the role of God and introducing apostasy.
The rejection of Christ was an abomination. But, even in the days of the apostles the Antichrist was active, but restrained.
- Time of Trouble. This involved plagues, natural disasters, astronomical signs, persecution and war in Palestine.
- Desolation and Deliverance.
For all repetitions of the prophecy deliverance was elusive.
As they grew older, the apostles recognized that deliverance would not come until the "man of sin" or the Antichrist is revealed.
After the 1844 disappointment deliverance did not come and the people were told to prophesy again. I believe that this is the last cycle.
So all previous cycles ended in deliverance and disappointment. The last ends in a blessing.
The End Time Prophets
"But as for you, go your way to the end, then you shall rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age."
(Daniel 12: 13)
After a period when his visions will be obscure, Daniel will become very important at the end of time.
What does Daniel add that John does not?
The message of several prophets will become important at the end of time because our situation is similar to what they have experienced.
And their victory strategy will help us to win our battles.
- Moses. He led the people from the land of sin and slavery to the promised land.
At the end, a final warning will prepare the world for the promised land of the New Jerusalem.
Like the third angel's message, he warns the people to avoid the plagues and he persuades Israel to accept the Mark of God so that death passes over them.
- Elijah. There will be a message that turns the world back to God. Back from idolatry to true worship.
Evil will become so powerful, that it will be able to duplicate the miracle of fire from Heaven that was used the first time.
But the Elijah message will overcome this deception through the fire of the Holy Spirit in the Latter Rain.
- Daniel. He became a prophet after the exile. He was a vegetarian. He represents those on whom the Spirit of God will be poured out after Babylon the Great has come.
The prophecies of Daniel will become very important at the end of time. This could be from two perspectives.
- Jews. Zechariah 12 will be fulfilled as the Jews come to recognize the Messiah in Daniel 9 and the convergence of the prophecies of Zechariah 12 and Daniel 11: 45 to Daniel 12.
It is the prophecies of Daniel that will convince the Jews, not the prophecies of John.
- Revelation. The details of Daniel 11: 31 to Daniel 12 enhance our understanding of Revelation 13 and 17.
Daniel gives us a more detailed military and political perspective. Revelation gives us a more religious perspective.
- Jeremiah. He was the prophet before the destruction by Babylon. He was also sent to Babylon.
His experience was the same as the people who would unseal the book of Daniel.
Because they would give the first message about Babylon and the coming of judgment and suffer ridicule.
Jeremiah 15: 15-21 and Jeremiah 20: 7-18.
- A Book to Eat. He ate the book (Jeremiah 15: 16)
- Mocking. He was mocked and ridiculed by the people.
- Tested. He would be tested.
- Deception. In his experience God seemed to have deceived him.
Why has my pain been perpetual and my wound incurable, refusing to be healed?
Will you be to me like a deceptive stream with water that is unreliable?
(Jeremiah 15: 18)
O Lord, you have deceived me and I was deceived; You have overcome me and prevailed.
I have become a laughingstock all day long; everyone mocks me ... for me the word of the Lord has resulted in reproach and derision all day long.
(Jeremiah 20: 7-8)
- Wise Prophet. He would become the spokesman of God if he remained with God and became wise.
If you return, then I will restore you. Before me you will stand; and if you extract the precious from the worthless you will become my spokesman.
(Jeremiah 15: 19)
- Ezekiel. His experience is duplicated in Revelation 10-11 and 13, 16, 18.
- A Scroll to Eat. He ate a book that was sweet, but he was bitter in Spirit. (Ezekiel 3: 1-5, 14)
- Measured the Temple. Ezekiel 40-43.
- Babylon. He warned about the coming captivity. Babylon the Great will capture us.
- Plagues and Wrath. Ezekiel 5: 9-17. Seven Last Plagues.
- Idolatry and Sun Worship in the Sanctuary. Ezekiel 8. Breaking the first four commandments.
- The Mark of God. Ezekiel 9. The mark of the beast.
The Message Of The Prophets
So, if Babylon has already fallen, why will it fall again?
We find the same pattern in the first exodus and after the Third Coming.
The enemy who has been judged rises up to stop the exodus and recapture the people but instead they are killed.
Fallen Fallen | Come Out | Mark of the Beast Persecution | Plagues | Promised Land |
Enemy Falls | Israel Leaves | Enemy Rises Again | God Rescues | Israel goes Home |
Egypt Falls | Exodus | Pharaoh rises again and Pursues | Red Sea | Canaan |
Papacy Wounded | Reformation | Papacy rises and persecutes | Second Coming | Heaven |
Satan Falls | Second Coming | Satan attacks after the Second Resurrection | Hell Fire | New Jerusalem |
The purpose of the message of the prophets is to guide Israel as they are leaving Babylon.
The message of the three angels is an exodus message out of Babylon the Great.
Several prophets shall "return" in the last days. Their message will function in the global Israel just as they did in old Israel.
The striking difference between the Jews in Old Babylon and our situation is that we are no longer exiled to Babylon after 1844.
We had been trapped for 1260 years and were set free in that judgment when Babylon was found guilty.
Babylon fell because of the judgment in 1844 and the rest of her devastation is coming in the Seven Last Plagues.
Therefore, the church that is trapped in Babylon by the idolatry and immorality that they have learned
need to get out and go home because God liberated them in 1844. Moses (Jesus Christ) is coming to take them home.

Repetition and Enlargement
This is the ultimate repetition of a prophecy. The cycle within a cycle of the time prophecies.
The actions of God present themselves like a wheel within a wheel. Repeating themselves in cyclical patterns.
The ministry of Christ was a positive cycle of this pattern as God fulfilled the covenant.
The forty five years between the fall of the Papacy and 1844 could also hold a similar positive pattern as God fulfills the next scheduled
covenant feast event since the Passover crucifixion, the covenant Yom Kippur.

The dates are fuzzy and the historical details are hard to find in some of these movements.
So the best that I can determine is that around these times certain events happened that fit the characteristics that
mark the end points of the time periods.
The Last Revolution
All the revolutions had certain things in common.
Economic turmoil, the creation of a national enemy, manipulation of the public and an irresponsible media that is not independent of the government
and the desire to create a new man made religion with a human as a god-like savior.
They were all launched by a triggering event.
Sometimes these were initiated by the power that was trying to take control.
At other times they took advantage of an opportunity to initiate their plans.
Previous revolutions seemed to be disorganized and spurred on by events that seem to be out of control.
However, the final revolution seems to involve a high degree of preparation
that will ensure the survival of certain powers.

We are in the middle of the final revolution and we do not recognize it!
We only need to identify our final targets and apply our new laws to them. This is why final movements will be rapid.
The media has sold these systems to us as public safety and welfare and for our best interest.
The victors in this war are carefully controlling those elements that caused the other revolutions to go out of control.
Echoes.
The reign of Nero could easily be described in the same pattern.
The second inaugural speech of George Bush on January 20, 2005 talked about
a new policy to help all people achieve their freedom.
We are led, by events and common sense, to one conclusion: The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.
So it is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world.
All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: The United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you.
It would have been a lovely speech if this had been their altruistic goal from the beginning.
In the civil war, the north pretended that abolition of slavery was their noble goal.
This is a total deviation from his policy in 2000 of leaving nations alone to solve their own problems.
He criticized the Clinton administration for being too involved in the Middle East and other places.
In this speech he echoes the revolutionary goals of the "convention" at their formation.
After Danton declared that the revolution was against "all kings",
On November 19, 1792 the Convention declared their willingness to help all subjected people achieve their liberty.
Our revolution is now against "all terrorism" and our new policy is to help all people achieve liberty.
It is leaving the nation as bankrupt as France.
The policy also heads the country into the direction of prophecy.
The policemen of the world, working to enforce the goals of the church. Noble goals that will go just as terribly wrong
as the goals of Robespierre and the Convention. No wonder the repetition of the prophecy compares our times to the French Revolution!
This time the losers in the French revolution (the state and the church) have taken steps to ensure that they will be the victors.
But it will not happen. And we will pay a terrible price before we realize this.
By March 16, 2006, they openly referred to a policy of preemptive strikes. That is a first for this nation.
Reversals (Back To Babylon, Rome And The French Revolution).
Our society seems to be reverting back to the times of Babylon, Rome and the French Revolution.
The evils of the French Revolution and the events of the times appear to be returning in the final revolution.
The great accomplishments of the French Revolution are being reversed in this last revolution.
This is probably because the victors of this revolution see these attributes as the cause of their earlier downfall.
Church and State. Separation of church and state is being eroded. This will lead to the loss of freedom of religion.
New Laws. Patriot Act, Corpus Juris and other laws are reversing the liberties in the Declaration of the Rights of Man.
Free Press. Our western "free press" has been bought by media conglomerates who have a particular agenda.
Slavery. Slavery will somehow return. Corporate misbehavior is protected. Oil companies condoned slavery in 2004.
Wealth. The feudal system was abandoned. Now the gap between rich and poor is widening through deliberate attempts to reward the wealthy, raid the pockets of the poor and deliberately place them in debt.
Eminent domain laws threaten individual property rights in favor of wealthy investors.
