The Amazing Bible Story .
Bible scholars are quick to say that the Bible is NOT a book of science, but when it speaks about nature it is not unscientific in its descriptions like other religious works. For example, the Bible does not say that the world sits on the shoulders of an elephant (Hindu Amarasimha), or a giant turtle (Hindu, Chinese and native Americans) or on the shoulders of Hercules (Greek).
The Bible says that the earth hangs on nothing (Job 26: 7) and is a circle (Isaiah 40: 22).
However, these apologists cannot make the same claim for this story which is an example of the "stupid Bible" according to atheists who mock the Bible.
And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted. And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle. And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's. And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses (Genesis 30: 37-43 KJV)
So the apologists' explanation is to say that God did not tell Jacob to this. Jacob did it on his own based on some local superstition and God "met him where he was". Meaning that God honored his request despite his clinging to superstition.
However, there are problems with this position.

• Voodoo. The story has the same essential qualities as voodoo.
  Make something in the image of what you want and you can influence the real object by manipulating its copy.
• Honor God. God could have simply bypassed the local folklore and brought honor to Himself only by simply asking Jacob to pray to Him for spotted and striped animals each morning at the water trough.
  The Graven Stick. I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. (Isaiah 42: 8)
  If Jacob was carving a stick based on the false religion of a false god then YHWH God would have been giving His glory to graven images by perpetuating a myth among the people He has called out of the world!
• A Scientific Story. So If God is the author of this story, then do you believe in a spotted and striped stick, standing in water that can make the children look like its pattern when the parents are in heat while mating before it?
  You should! Mock no more! God has the last laugh.

The Science Pattern Design And Laws

• Pattern (Double Helix). DNA looks like a twisted ladder.
• Design (Major And Minor Grooves). The twisted shape forms bulges and grooves.
• Laws. It has a set direction of replication or copying from the hydroxyl end to the pyruvate end and proofreading for error.

Torah Science: Jacob's Spotted And Striped Stick (Genesis 30: 37-43)
The Bible has some strange stories about acquiring life (salvation) by looking at something with spots and stripes or broken pieces.
Jacob accomplished a genetic change by having his animals look at the change he wanted to accomplish. He carved white stripes in a stick and planted the stick in the water where the animals came to drink. The offspring of the animals turned spotted and striped if the parents looked at a spotted and striped stick while they were mating (Genesis 30: 37-41).
The actual design of his stick does not matter. What matters is the words used for the legal description.
Every name used is either a scientific term or a word form the Bible story.

• Carved Stick. This is the backbone to the double helix around which the spiral twists.

• Hydroxyl End - H-OH (Water). Hydroxyl is derived from the Greek word "hydr" which means "water". An -OH molecule (H-C-OH) is at the 3' end of each strand and multiple H bonds hold the strands together. When the bonds are broken and the (H+ ... -OH) ions are exposed, the lagging strand begins to replicate at the -OH end.
• Pyruvate End - PO4 (Hot ("In Heat")). Pyruvate is derived from the Greek word "pyr" which means "heat or fire". The pyruvate end is a phosphate molecule at the 5' end surrounded by 4 oxygen atoms. It is like a match consuming oxygen.
  Phosphorous comes in two forms (white and red). White phosphorous is so flammable with atmospheric oxygen it has to be stored in water.
  Red phosphorous is less flammable but it can change to white phosphorous at certain temperatures.
  The word translated "conceived" also means "to be hot". So they were "hot" or "in heat" when they came over the water to drink.
  Hot. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted. (Genesis 30: 38-39)
• Mating. The single strand joined with another.
• Look At. They must line up in a mirror image position to form the double helix.
• Spots and Stripes. The double helix looks like spots and stripes.
  • Spots. The spots are the series of stacked round balls appearing in the spiral formed by bulges.
  • Stripes. The stripes are the rungs of the ladder caused by hydrogen bonds.
• Proofreading. Jacob mated only the strong animals not the weak. He used a system of error correction, proof reading and repair to select the best of the bunch.
• Antiparallel Strands. DNA double helix has two strands, one from each parent, lined up next to each other but running in opposite directions. It means that each double strand has a water and fire molecule on both ends. This is duplicated in the story as follows.
  • Water. The flock were both standing in water and drinking water.
  • Fire. The fire of sexual desire was in their brains and their groins.
• Water At The Feet. How do we know that the base is hydroxyl not pyruvate?
  The enzyme that assembles DNA only attaches new blocks to the hydroxyl end.
  Since the strand begins to replicate at the -OH end then this is the feet or the base.

Until now, Bible scholars have only been able to recognize scientific statements that the Bible has made about the macro world that anyone can see with their own eyes. The realm of the microscopic and subatomic world have only been relegated to the human gods of modern science. Every detail is based in microscopic science only unraveled in 1953.
How did the author of Genesis, writing 3500 years ago about an event that happened 4000 years ago, know about the details of the structure and function of DNA discovered in 1953?

The Pattern Of Water And Fire
Anytime God acts to heal His people He does it in a pattern of DNA replication and repair. Water and fire seems to be the bookends to a system that manages life. They point to extreme interventions by God to save the righteous.

• Jacob's Ladder (Genesis 28: 11-13). Jacob was travelling between Beersheba ("well or cistern") and Haran ("Mountain") and he named the place Bethel ("House of God"). He used a stone as a pillow and had a dream in which he saw a ladder reaching heaven.
  And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed; And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first. (Genesis 28: 10-13, 18-19)
  • Location. The places describe both ends of the DNA. Jacob was literally travelling from the "cistern" to the "mountain". In between, he was at the house of GOd.
    • Bethel. The "House of God".
    • Haran. A "Mountain" where God dwells in the midst of a throne of fire.
    • Beersheba. It is the location of several important wells. It means ("cistern, well or pit" or "a cutting, breaking or breaching").
      It appears that the most basic idea that lies beneath all these verbal actions is a cutting, breaking or breaching, whether graving letters in stone, wells in the earth's surface, metals from ore, grain from stalks, the whole of creation in the expanse of nothingness, or a covenant between parties. [Strong's Concordance and Hebrew Dictionary (Lexicon-Concordance) H0068 H1129]
      The meaning of this word implies the new covenant. God will recreate us by engraving His Law on our hearts. He will also accomplish this through a genetic change.
  • Top (God). The top is the pyruvate end and this describes the fiery presence of God.
  • Ladder. The DNA double helix or the separated strand during replication. The fact that he starts in Beersheba ("cutting") implies that this is a strand that is being cut for replication.
  • Angels (Messengers). DNA has several messengers and enzymes traversing the strands.
  • Spots. If it was a spiral ladder then the bulges are the spots. Otherwise it is all the special engymes attached to the strands during replication.
  • Stripes. The rungs of the ladder.
  • Bottom (Jacob - Stone Pillar). The bottom should be the Hydroxyl end. However, in this case it is describing the nitrogenous bases. They are flat in shape, making them ideal for building up DNA and RNA. The 5 nitrogenous bases (adenine (A), Uracil (U), guanine (G), thymine (T), and cytosine (C)) hydrogen bond between opposing DNA strands to form the rungs of the "twisted ladder" or double helix of DNA (Wikipedia). Three of these (cytosine, thymine and uracil) have Hydrogen and oxygen sticking out of their ring structure. When joined with their appropriate base pair (G-C), (A-T) or (A-U), the hydroxyl end forms.

• The Sun And The Rainbow (Spot And Stripes). Rainbows are formed opposite the direction of the sun and they need water to scatter the light between the angles of 40 and 42 degrees. This system that has been used to symbolize God and the covenant has all the design elements of the "Spots and Stripes" description of the DNA by the bible.
  • Spots. The disc of the sun is the spot and the fire.
  • Stripes. The bands of color on the rainbow are the stripes made when the sun "looks at" itself in the water.
  • DNA. So the hydroxyl group may be primarily responsible for the stripes and the pyruvate for the spots.
  • Stick. The rainbow is a curved stick.
  • Heat. The sun is hot.
  • Water. The water is the rain. The rainy sky is like Jacob's trench of water in which the stick stood.
  • Mating. If we see the Sun's rays as the unbroken leading strand and the rain drops as the broken lagging strand then it requires the mating of both to create the rainbow stripes (DNA).
  • The Rainbow Plan. At the beginning, the first Bible science system that I learned was how the colors of the rainbow described the work of the Trinity and the attributes of sin. Now it even makes greater sense that the rainbow defines the perfect DNA, so that as a template of the covenant it is repairing the sin defect. The rainbow was introduced to Noah as a sign of the covenant and the ten panel, colorful, blue linen cover draped over the sanctuary in an arc like the rainbow and is a sign of this same event.
  Theory. We can finally map more concrete science to the Bible laws.
  • Sight and Sound. DNA probably has an electromagnetic wave component to it that either records a specific sequence of colors or a sequence of sounds. By recognizing that the sequence of colors has been disrupted or the sequence of sounds is not in harmony, the genetic repair mechanism can tell that there is an error in the sequence.
    The majority of the damage to the DNA repair mechanism seem to involve sensitivity to sunlight and UV radiation. So our theory may be correct. DNA repair requires use of polarized light such as the rainbow to diagnose damage.
  • Winding Helix. DNA probably has the angles or numbers 40-42 associated with its winding.
    The B-DNA, the most common form, has 10 base pairs per turn. The blue linen layer has 10 stripes.
    The A-DNA, the next common form, has 11 base pairs per turn. The goat hair layer has 11 stripes.
  • Male and Female. It probably means that the male strand is the leading strand and it may have a negative charge. The lagging strand is female and may have a positive charge.
• Laver. The construction of the laver has at least two components of the replication system. It had water and it was a mirror made of polished brass. If we assume that they did not melt the polished brass and that the mirrors were rectangular shape that were melted together at the edge, then the laver also looked like a striped bowl.
  Moreover, he made the laver of bronze with its base bronze, from the mirrors of the serving women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting. (Exodus 38: 8)
  Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet from it. (Exodus 30: 19)
  The four tzitzit, or wings of the garment, also represented the hands and feet of the body.
  When you "looked at" the water in the striped bowl you were looking in a mirror as you washed the four tzitzit clean. The altar of sacrifice is the fire end (5') that you approach first on your way to the water (3') end. This is not only a picture of the function of the law and the Spirit combined, it is a picture of DNA repair.
• Sanctuary Roof (Stripes). The roof has two layers made with parallel strips of material. The first layer was blue with decorations made of red and purple. They symbolized the rainbow and have the physical measurements of the rainbow (40 and 42). The laver is the water and the shekinah glory is the fire.
  This system probably symbolizes DNA replication.
• The Exodus Across The Red Sea. The pillar of fire and pillar of clouds are the 5' and 3' end. They crossed from the pillar of fire which guarded their path while they crossed the waters which separated like the DNA strand during replication. Moses' stick initiated the parting.
  The Life. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: (Exodus 13: 21)
  The nation of Israel were the colorful, rainbow spots and stripes between these two pillars. If each tribe represented a spot, then they might have represented some importance sequence of 12 turns of the DNA helix.
• Elijah (1 Kings 18: 31-38). He defeated the prophets of Baal by building an altar with 12 stones, wood and a bull cut in pieces (the broken spots). He poured water in a trench around it and then God answered by fire.
  In this instance there is a separation of the two strands as Elijah asked the people to choose between YHWH and Baal.
  The priests cut themselves to appease their gods and Elijah cut up a bull in pieces.
• Mary. She washed and kissed His feet with her salty tears and expensive perfume. This act symbolized His preparation for burial. Eight days later, on the day of the resurrection she was the first to see His glory.
  Preparing The Sacrificial Lamb. And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. (Luke 7: 38)
  Anointing The High Priest. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. (John 12: 3, 7)
• Disciples. Jesus washed their feet in water then baptized them with fire on their heads 52 days later and received power.
  Water On The Feet. Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. (John 13: 3, 5, 8-9)
  Fire On The Head. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. (Acts 2: 1-3)
  Jesus had washed their feet and the Holy Spirit had washed their minds and heart.
  Jesus was the spotted and striped figure in the middle that they looked at.
• Holy Spirit. He is symbolized as fire and water and we must be broken and baptized in both.
• Baptized By John And Jesus. Baptism begins by water and ends with fire.
  . John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: (Luke 3: 16)
• Christian Symbols. Why are "meaningless" Christian symbols so important?
  • Water (Baptism). We must be washed by water.
  • Spots And Broken Stripes. Jesus is the broken bread at communion.
  • Fire (Holy Spirit). We must be washed by the Spirit and receive power.
  Just like Jacob we should follow God's silly instructions.
  As you will learn from other Bible sciences, the world is designed like mirror image twins in unity. When we do these things we are creating the mirror image of what God is doing at the scientific level as we become like Him and acknowledge that we understand what He is doing for us.
• World Destruction (Flood And Hell fire). The world was destroyed by water in the time of Noah, and it will be destroyed by fire in the future before it is recreated. In both instances God rescues the righteous from a wicked world and starts over.
  The Creator Destroys The Wicked. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3: 5-7)
  Jesus Christ is the spotted and striped figure in the middle that we must look at to be healed.

The Messianic Prophecy: Jesus' Cross In the Sea Of People
God taught me the Messianic prophecy first before He revealed the Bible science. If we use the language of prophetic symbols we find that Jesus's death on the cross symbolized the DNA structure.

• Carved Stick. This is the wooden cross.
  Man is also described as a righteous tree and Jesus is the Tree of Life planted by the rivers of water coming out of the throne of God. His body is also the wood that is carved.
• Water. Water is a symbol of life (people) (Revelation . The cross was in the water as the people surrounded Him.
  A Sea Of People. And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. (Revelation 17: 15)
  A foaming sea of people besieged the cross.
• Hot. He was the burnt offering, exposed naked in the heat of the sun, suffering the fiery wrath of God.
• Spots and Stripes. The injuries and bruises on His body looked like spots and stripes.
  • Spots. The slaps, beating and punches He received created circular purple, red and blue bruises that would look like irregular spots.
    Beaten. Then they spat in His face and beat Him with their fists; and others slapped Him (Matthew 26: 67 NASB)
    The purple, red and blue curtains which were torn are said to represent His torn body.
    The Door Veil. And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework. (Exodis 26: 36)
    His Flesh Is The Veil. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (Hebrews 10: 20)
    Torn Flesh. And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. (Mark 15: 38)
  • Stripes. The whip marks from the flagellum created the parallel stripes marking the rungs of the spiritual DNA that was broken.
    The sharp objects on the end of the whip goughed out His flesh to the subcutaneous white portion of the adipose tissue, just as the story describes.
    White Stripes In The Rod. And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. (Genesis 30: 37)
    However this action caused the human race to be healed, not because and evil God wanted to torture and murder His Son. Jesus' submission to the cross was to pay a ransom for us demanded by and originating in the mind of Satan, not the ideas of God.
    Healed by His DNA Stripes. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53: 5 KJV)
• Look At. By looking at the original Christ we can be transformed, changed genetically, first at the spiritual level as we copy Him. By beholding we will be changed.
  Mirror, Mirror. But whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. But we with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3: 16, 18)
• Proofreading. This error checking and fixing is the work of the Holy Spirit.
• Mating. He was nailed to the cross. We must cling to Him and be found in Him. We must be spiritually nailed to Him so that we can be transformed.

Water, spots and stripes, knots and coils combined with copying or looking at a twin image all point to a system that involves changing the inner man.

Theory. I believe that there may be cures that can be done by looking at the right object or series of objects. We can definately demonstrate that watching certain behaviors tends to change a culture. The Bible says that "by beholding ... we become changed". But I am not simply proposing changes through example or learned behavior. Certain flashing light sequences can cause seizure. We can influence mood by the color of a room. So there are cures than can be administered through the eyes.

The History Of The Science
The mechanism of modern genetics was discovered between 1856 and 1953.

• Jacob (1900 BC). God showed Jacob how He would conduct the miracle of genetic mutation.
• Moses (1500 BC). Wrote about the rules of DNA.
• Previous Knowledge. Farmers know that crossbreeding of animals and plants could favor desirable traits.
• Modern Discoveries And Theories.
  • Gregor Mendel (1856 - 1863). Conducted pea plant experiments to establish the rules of inheritance.
  • Friedrich Miescher (1869). He discovered a substance he called "nuclein" by examining pus.
  • Erwin Chargaff (1947). Discovered the base pairs. A-T and C-G are found in definite ratios.
  • Rosalind Franklin (1952). X-ray diffraction image of the double helix.
  • James Watson and Francis Crick (1953). They reconstructed the accurate double helix shape and structure usng Chargaff's base pairs and Rosalind Franklin's X-Ray diffraction image.
  • Matthew Meselson and Franklin Stahl (1957). DNA semi-conservative replication.
  • Reiji Okazaki (1968). The lagging strand of DNA is replicated via fragments (Okazaki Fragments).
  • Abdel-Monem M, Dürwald H, Hoffmann-Berling H (1976). Discovered DNA helicase in E. Coli.
  • Pseudoknot (1982). Discovered in the turnip yellow mosaic virus.
  • UBP (1989, 2002, 2012). Unnatural Base Pairs. Scientists are making artificial base pairs in the lab.
  • Current Status. It is now known that there are several forms of the DNA which differ in how tightly they are coiled. B-DNA is the most prevalent in nature and this was what was discovered in 1953. A-DNA appears in dehydrated samples. B-DNA has 10 base pairs per turn and A-DNA has 11 base pairs. B-DNA and A-DNA are right handed. Z-DNA is left hnded and has 12 basepairs per turn.
• Modern Theories (The Origin of Life). Faced with the reality that the evolution of life is not supported by the discoveries, scientists have proposed the wackiest ideas. Unscientific theories were proposed to account for the need of DNA from a fantic source other than God.
  • Panspermia (Francis Crick) 1973. Devout atheists, Watson and Crick used the 50th anniversary of their discovery to attack belief in a creator. Crick proposed the theory of Panspermia based on an original idea. He proposed that life was brought here by extraterrestrial intelligent aliens from a space ship. Crick does do not believe it is formed by Darwinian evolution out of life in a puddle of mud and amino acids He is reported to have said the following:

    "An honest man, armed with all the knowledge available to us now, could only state that in some sense, the origin of life appears at the moment to be almost a miracle, so many are the conditions which would have had to have been satisfied to get it going."
    
    Crick is also reported to have said about the DNA double helix.
    "We do not understand this at all ... this does not make a kind of simple sense ... it is too brilliant, too fantastic, too interlocked, ... it is obviously in some way designed."

    So who created the intelligent alien? We are back to the original, unanswered problem of the origin of life.
  • Punctuated Equilibrium and Macroevolution (Steven Gould and Niles Eldridge) 1972. After long periods of no change, millions of positive mutations suddenly occur in one egg, forming a new creature. The changes happened so fast that they did not leave any missing links in the fossil record. One requirement added to this theory is that a male and female must be produced in this incredible accident.
  • Monster Mutations or Quantum Speciation (Richard Goldschmidt) 1940. Evolutionists recognized that both natural selection and mutations were evolutionary failures and that mutations could not produce evolution. He proposed that many beneficial mutations occur at once, producing a new creature he called a "hopeful monster". It is the evolutionary magic wand. His theories were popularized by Gould.
